  2. I saw the link as of 11PM last night........The CD box set version appeared not to have any video included.......Also Massey Hall and Crazy Horse Live at the Fillmore were included which most of us already have I'm sure.......The DVD version was not clear as to if it was DVD audio only or DVD with film clips and such as well as audio (music)........Neil has put out a couple of special edition DVD music only albums when he thought this was the best way to achieve the best sounding recording.....I don't think they would play on a CD player......He's making this too hard......Put the video on DVD
  3. Well, I dreamed I saw the knights in armor coming Sayin' something about a queen There were peasants singin' and drummers drumming And the archer split the tree There was a fanfare blowin' to the sun That floated on the breeze Look at mother nature on the run in the nineteen seventies Look at mother nature on the run in the nineteen seventies I was lyin' in a burned out basement With a full moon in my eyes I was hopin' for a replacement When the sun burst through the skies There was a band playin' in my head And I felt like getting high Thinkin' about what a friend had said, I was hopin' it
  4. Have a listen......Thread about albums that changed your life reminded me of this from my high school days.......Classic stuff http://www.last.fm/music/The+Firesign+Thea...ger+Private+Eye
  5. They didn't change my life but I have fond memories (some old, some new) of the first time I heard them......In no particular order...... Sgt Pepper / Beatles After the Gold Rush / Neil Young John Lennon Plastic Ono Band Let It Bleed / Stones White Album / Beatles Home Free / Fogelberg Live At Leeds / Who Good Feeling to Know / Poco Sky Blue Sky / Wilco Let it Be (bootleg version) / Beatles Sweetheart of the Rodeo / Byrds Marx and Lennon / HCYBI2PAO (Nick Danger) / Firesign Theatre http://www.firesigntheatre.com/albums/hcyb2.mp3 4 Way Street / CSNY Girlfriend / Matthew Sweet
  6. New video for the song.......Watch Neil listen to his Apple........ http://www.neilyoung.com/forkintheroad/for...eroadvideo.html
  7. You'll like this then.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HG1eR2UEJp0...re=channel_page
  8. Neil is definitely on a driving song kick......Hear it here..... http://www.neilyoung.com/
  9. Haven't heard any outside of my playing them or seeing them in concert anytime in the recent past........About 6 months ago in a Home Depot I heard "Impossible Germany" but nothing since.......It's been a long dry spell........But I listen to them everyday so I don't really feel I'm missing anything.......
  10. I like all the different forms Wilco has taken over the years as well as most of the music produced in it's different incarnations......As a live band, I think right now they are the best one out there for my musical preferences.......I can get into Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, The Black Crowes, Oasis and Collective Soul (my other current live contemporary favorites, I'm not including Neil Young here).......But they don't come close to the Wilco experience for me......I never saw them with Jay in person but I also like what I have seen on video, YouTube etc. as well as the albums when Jay
  11. Wilco Club has most of the show available..... http://www.youtube.com/user/wilcoclub
  12. Technically it is a post 80's album........Live At Massey Hall.........Blows the rest away........
  13. Couldn't agree more on both counts.......I'll check in with the brother-in-law once in a while but even that is a little creepy......
  14. I think Glenn is tired of the act.......In Worcester, the band was gearing up for ITMWLY and stopped because Glenn did not do his thing........They started the noise again and Jeff had to coax Glenn up onto his stool asking him why he didn't want to do his rock star act......A reluctant Glenn climbed up to a cheering crowd and the song began.....I wouldn't read anything into it.....
  15. I have a bootleg video copy of it.......It really is shit except for some short snippets of CSNY concert footage that never has a chance to develop.....You are not missing much.......You can probably find some of it on YouTube..... Here's the best part..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=buNFC4Y2B60
  16. Great show......The third leg of my week long reliving of my youth......Managed to see Neil and Wilco in Worcester and MSG and made the trek down to NJ before the storm hit Friday morning.....Ryan Adams was very talkative and friendly despite the recent reviews about his surliness and actually very good.....Oasis was Oasis......Good comment from Noel about Camden being the murder capital of the world and that the odds were pretty good someone would be murdered on the way home......About a half hour later he asked if anyone had been killed yet......Killer "Don't Look Back in Anger".......Securi
  17. Good review of show with pictures and video...... http://gigoblog.qbertplaya.com/2008/12/nei...g-dec-16th.html
  18. These pics are from 12/16 if it matters to anyone......
  19. Great clip of Handshake Drugs from last night..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDPYbmOXCrU
  20. Believe me he's had his share......he's 21......It was his Christmas present to me.......By the way we could not get near Neil Young's area.....You needed another kind of security badge and had to get by additional layers of security people......We tried to go through one curtain like we knew where we were going but it didn't work.....Also John, then Glen sat a few rows in front of us during the second half of Neil's show before they left to join in the singing of "Rockin In the Freeworld" on stage with everyone form the tour for Neil's last song before the encore......
  21. I think I had my ultimate rock show experience last night.......This is long but I think some will enjoy it.....Arrived at Grand Central Station from Conn. about 6:30 and walked to MSG in a light snow.....Pretty cool looking with the Christmas lights and stuff......My son's friend came through with three comp passes from his cousin who works for Neil Young......We were a little nervous at first because the guy at will-call couldn't find them at first, but they were there......Went in to check our seats at about 7:15.....Section 73 just to the right of the stage about 15 rows from the floor....
  22. WW.......So you saw Wilco play and went out to where the buses were parked before or after Neil Young played?........If it was before did they let you back in for Neil? Hey, I think it's pretty cool......We were thinking of hanging around the buses for awhile before the show in the afternoon to try to say hello but we didn't want to look like stalkers.....
