Who are you on there if you don't mind me asking?

The show was great. Questions overall were pretty good (except one idiot that asked if Pete would 1. play something he hadn't played yet this week and 2. sign his guitar. Pete said no to both.) Pete gave fairly long almost rambling answers which was really cool after having watched all the Led Zeppelin news conferences recently and been inundated with short non-answers. He went fairly in depth into a lot of things about his childhood, writing process, interaction with other people/bands, the band itself, music these days, etc... I'll put up the recording in a day or two if anybody is inter

It was pretty damn cool. About an hour of Q&A (both from interviewer who's name I don't remember, and from the audience) and then a short acoustic set. No live signing, all the books were pre-signed, but I did wait out back afterwards. He came out after about 45 minutes and signed for a minute or two max. This is about as close as I got:

I definitely will. I'll be taping too, so if anybody wants to hear the Q&A I'll be happy to send it

Thats what I'm hoping.

I got a ticket to go see him at the Berklee Performance Center on Friday. I'm very excited. I believe I get a copy of the book with the price of admission

Thanks. Enjoy it!

MMW at Jordan Hall in Boston tonight

Interesting. I think they use all of the instruments exactly how they should be used. Nothing is overplayed and nobody is stepping on each other's toes. Band is run by the bass player, and has been for about 8 years when they started as pretty much a straight up jazz combo at North Texas.

^ The Helsinki show is definitely one of my all time favorite live albums. I'll add The Song Remains the Same, Live at Leeds (the extended one), and both of the Band's (I prefer Rock of Ages to the Last Waltz save for a few tracks)

Used to like but cannot listen for long now....

I actually really liked Band of Joy. First solo output by Plant that I could really get behind -
Favorite bands with dual lead singers

Nobody can beat The Band is this category for me. Simply the best -
Eric Johnson tonight (I think he's playing with Will Lee and Anton Fig too) should be a good show

I thought about going to that but ended up deciding not too. I have yet to really hear any Dr. Dog that really moves me that much at all

I don't really mean that though. Thats been the case for a long time now. They, for the first time, just don't really seem like Led Zeppelin anymore. They way they answered the questions and everything really just made it seem like this was clearly the last hurrah, and now that it's being released on DVD, that it will close out the history of Zeppelin.

^ that it is. That press conference kind of solidifies for me that this is it for Led Zeppelin
