  1. My newest acquisition. Custom G&L ASAT Special. I love it. Like a Tele with some serious balls
  2. You're not talking about the part where he was giving Glenn shit for starting songs while he was talking (so Glenn went ahead and did just that)?
  3. Ah ok. Only saw one show in '12 and it was Misunderstood > AoA
  4. I'll probably subscribe to U2.com before the next let is announced. The fee is worth it to get on the floor (and still costs less combined than 1-2 lower bowl tix)
  5. That's a good list. Honestly the only thing I want (and probably won't get) is ELT on 12/12
  6. Is that for the red zone seats though?
  7. I'm gonna hope for a few dc shows next leg
  8. Oh I know full well about the audience mics! (I'm a big Umphrey's fan, and they're one of the bands out of that group that also uses them rather generously, especially compared to moe. and Mule). I was using it more to explain the differences between these releases and a mixed for release show.
  9. They don't sound like an official live release if you ask me. They definitely sound more like a 2-channel soundboard that was mastered. Just like all the jamband nightly releases (Umphreys, Gov't Mule, Phish, Widespread, moe...) The live albums, like Kicking TV, definitely have been multitracked and fully mixed and mastered which is why the rhythm section has such balls IMO
  10. Agree with Glasper and Brian Blade recommendations. If you're looking a little outside the standard jazz box absolutely check out Snarky Puppy as well as Jason Lindner's Now vs. Now. Also related to Now v. Now anything with Mark Guiliana is fucking awesome
  11. God this tour looked amazing. Always better to catch them when not specifically touring an album ('08 being another great example)
  12. That's my feeling too. If jambands can do it (release recordings of every show no matter what) then Wilco could absolutely do it if they really wanted it. I agree that it could very well be music related, but part of me thinks it's probably a knee jerk reaction based on how they felt after the show. I just don't see Jeff sitting down and analyzing shows really...
  13. Bands release shows from the Ryman all the time (see bands like Umphrey's McGee as well as other jambands). If Wilco wanted to release it they absolutely could with very little hassle. They've been recording every single show for well over 5 years but just don't seem to have any desire to release as many bands do these days. I was hoping these releases would turn into a regular thing, but it seems as if they're opting more for the "we'll do it when we feel like it" type of mentality which is a bummer. They could make a ton of money doing archival releases, even if they're releases of
  14. ^ I would be! I'm hoping to grab a pair to two different shows on Friday, but I won't know which I can attend until probably the first or second week in November (depends on my GF's work schedule). I was thinking I'd try for a pair for both Friday shows because I could certainly trade the pair to the last show if I couldn't attend
  15. Yeah, he said it was the first time they had played it and that he was rehearsing for Mavis. My recording will be up in an hour or two. The show was a lot of fun. Very respectful audience in general and the band is pretty good. The new music sounded good and was fun. Lacking the amount of arrangement we get with Wilco, but it still sounded very much like Jeff Tweedy. The solo set actually ran like this: 15. I Am Trying To Break Your Heart16. One Wing17. Hummingbird18. New Madrid19. Please Tell My Brother20. Ruling Class21. Passenger Side22. Laminated Cat23. Born Alone24. Jesus Etc.25.
  16. Hey All, Just curious if there's an official policy or if we're assuming its the same as Wilco/Jeff solo shows. I'll be going to Portsmouth, NH
  17. Hello all, I'm looking for 2 tickets for the Tweedy show in Portsmouth, NH. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
