  1. So called Stars "Enduring Sleep"
  2. That is actually a really good movie, I was so pleasantly surprised the first time I watched it.

    Banjo

I have always wanted a banjo, never pulled the trigger though.
  4. I absolutely love Operation Mindcrime. Listened to that one a bunch. Some great music and lyrics on that one.
  5. I don't know what an FCE is either but I have heard of Cambridge so it sounds impressive! Good luck, you are going to nail it.
  6. That's very cool of Julian to help her out, it's funny that she is not a fan of the song.
  7. It's back. Orlando blows that last show before overtime, misses 15 free throws. And Kobe elbows a player in the face with no call, wait, that last one is just ref bias.
  8. Yeah, my wife does all the finances too, I wonder why...
  9. Actually I like some stuff from just about every band. I thought Ratt was a cut above a lot of those bands, Maybe because I like Warren DeMartini's guitar playing. I'm more of a Sabbath, Priest, Megadeath kind of guy.
  10. I just read that Bob Dylan showed up on a tour of Lennon's childhood home in Liverpool. I thought that was interesting. How surreal to be part of that tour group.
  11. Still listening to it quite a bit. Found out my wife ordered the vinyl for me so as soon as that shows up I will be throwing it on some more.
  12. Great, I will give it a good listen and try to put some thoughts down for you as well! Edit: Just a few thoughts so far: Enduring Sleep - This one grabbed me right away. Great distorted guitar sound that kicks in after the first few lines. I like the dynamics on this one. Sounds amazingly well produced as does the rest of the album. Very melodic. I love the end with the drums and guitar doubling up, sounds very "At the drive in" or something but not like a copy. Sounds like a wall of guitars. Solar Ray - The melody on this one is like something Robert Pollard would come up with
  13. My vote would be BBN but my bet is Wilco (the song) as well.
  14. I gotta say, I'm digging this. I'm a sucker for good melodic ear candy. Some really good stuff here. Let me know when it's available for purchase or whatever.
  15. Actually that's a good point. $25 seems much more reasonable!
  16. Damn, 65 bones but I really want one!
  17. Wow, that review is making me want to hear it. I will check out the myspace when I get home.
  18. My daughter has been playing piano since she was 3 but is now picking up guitar at the age of 14. I have been teaching her some simple Jenny Lewis, some Grateful Dead, Wilco of course. She is picking it up pretty quick actually.
  19. So they are rehearsing with no album or tour planned? Are they doing it for funsies or what?
  20. I always thought Spin was pretty horrible really but it's been awhile. I doubt you have missed much.
  21. Here is a great clip of this song, with the unknown lyrics finally clarified: http://www.elwp.com/Joe%20Cocker.html
  22. Sweet! Did you answer some obscure music question for all that booty?
  23. The Lakers truly have some kind of luck mojo that I can't explain. They win game 2 because Lee misses an easy lay up (by NBA standards). Orlando gets open looks and can't make any of the shots they made against Cleveland. Unbelievable.
