  1. In second place behind Dinosaur Jr right now. I voted for Wilco even though I really am anticipating the Dino Jr. more because I don't have it yet.
  2. If you really want to do it up, there is always the place the Beatles stayed when they played Red Rocks: http://www.brownpalace.com/
  3. Hah! That was funny. Very Farley-like. Geezer must have a thing about Germs but I suppose you are shaking quite a few hands of some interesting people.
  4. Wow, that is cool as all hell. Thanks for posting that.
  5. I saw that. She certianly is loyal, she seems to believe that he was railroaded and is just a victim of the man.
  6. Looks like it's covered in an old man's pubic hair.

    Banjo

Just the thought of re-learning shapes and stuff. Plus it's so right hand intensive although I would imagine that helps the fingerpicking on guitar as well. I'll get around to it eventually.
  8. I was so close to getting the Boss DD-7, then this good looking guitar store lady told me she hates the Boss delay's and tried to talk me into the Line 6 or teh MXR Analog delay. Screw it, I'm getting the Boss. Like you said, they are rugged little boxes and judging from your record you have an ear for guitar tone so if it works for you it's good enough for me. Now I just have to find out when the clerk is not working...
  9. One week only for you guided by voices fans. http://pitchfork.com/tv/#/episode/1971-guided-by-voices-watch-me-jumpstart/1
  10. I checked one of these out yesterday. Might be more than I'm looking for but the price is not bad. Have not had a chance to play through one yet to see how good the modeling is.
  11. Yay, you just reminded me that Okkervil River is opening for Wilco on July 3rd! Can't wait. Anyways, this one:
  12. That's about as far as I ever got in that book...
  13. That sounds like a great idea, I know I would listen. As far as a list for the decade? That sounds really, really hard right now. I'm loving everybody's lists so far though.
  14. Any thoughts on Analog vs. Digital delay pedals? Not sure what the difference is. I'm narrowing my choices down. So far it looks like: MXR Carbon copy vs. Boss DD7 vs. that big ass Line 6 thing with all sorts of settings. I just want to sound like David Gilmour, is that asking too much?
  15. I'm a big fan of Johnny Hickman's guitar playing, this is sounding really good.

    Hello

Welcome Twigboy, sounds like you are in the right place. There are a lot of us in bands around these parts so looking forward to hearing what you got going on!
  17. "Hello it's me" - Nazz Everytime I hear it I get it lodged in my head for awhile.
  18. For a minute there I read that as "totally a Green Day wannabe"! Pretty cool, and astute. Now you should play him some Stiff Little Fingers
  19. Rockies are on a tear! Well maybe not tonight, but before tonight!
  20. So you would recommend trying it? I always thought it took away your dynamics (although adds sustain). Again, I know nothing.
  21. Nice! Not what I expected at all!
  22. All the Pavement albums are re-released with tons of extra songs, I highly recommend re-buying them!
  23. You can boost solo's with an eq pedal? Interesting, never tried that and didn't really know it could work that way. I use a volume pedal with a block of wood in the front for boosting solos. Just rock it forward a bit for boost and then rock it back to home (resting on the wood) when you don't want a boost. Kind of cheesy but it works. I have to admit, never had much use for an eq pedal either. I may have to start a thread about compression because I never really understood that either.
