Just an email saying that they are still getting them in stock would be nice. I wouldn't want to wait much longer since there's only 7,000 in circulation. Amazon currently says they will have them in stock on the 22nd.

I'm still waiting on my copy from Collector's Choice. I'm getting a little worried, Amazon is backordered on the box set too. Edit: Just spoke with customer service. Sounds like they're still waiting to receive their copies of the box set.

Sorry didn't be mean to misleading with the topic or title. By modern jazz I mean any type of jazz that's come out roughly since the 2000's. Avant grande, experimental, art jazz, folk jazz, whatever. Only reason I brought up jam bands before is because usually when I ask people to recommend jazz they bring up bands like Phish, which are great, but not what I'm looking for. Hopefully that clarifies things up a bit.

I'm sure there's been some great jazz albums made in the past 10 years or so but jazz is not one of my strong points when it comes to current music. Can anyone recommend any excellent modern jazz albums?

Well I just acquired a copy of Live After Deaf and it sounds AMAZING. Definitely check this one out guys.

I love Ryan, but I'm not made of money. That being said, if this set was $50, or even $75 I gladly would have preordered it.

Well the price just skyrocketed to $108, I guess I won't be getting this after all. $8.99 would have been a steal though.
