I listened to their myspace and these guys are fantastic.

Does anyone know when the Joy Box is supposed to come out? It's still not available for preorder on amazon. I've still been holding out on getting the new album because the box has videos of three songs that I saw. I still hear 'You Never Know' pretty regularly on the radio.

Idk. He talked about it in an interview and how he was getting it ready and it was going to be a part of the archives etc. He talked about how he switched drummers halfway through the tour and it had a different feel than the first one.

What about Time Fades Away II?

It's now streaming at npr.org in case you missed it. I still don't know what to think of it. I don't hate it. It's kind of like Wilco (The Album) for me. A lot of times I have find it to be underwhelming, but then other times I'll just be blown away by it. I think it's definitely better than their last record but I don't know if I'd go as far as to call it a classic yet. But I think seeing the new songs live will put another perspective on them as well.

I probably won't win but it's worth a try.

Well if it's coming out this year I guess that isn't too bad, but it'd be kind of cool if he released it as a separate album too. Though I'll probably be getting the boxed set anyway.

That's cool, but I wonder what happened with that Stills album w/Hendrix.

I remember hearing a story about how Nora was going to ask Dylan to do the project but since he recently performed at a concert for the Pope she didn't feel it would be appropriate for him to participate since the pope was pro-life and Woody was pro-choice, or something like that. But who knows what the real story is.

I have to say the first time I listened to it I loved it but my reaction to my second listen was far less enthusiastic. I'll have to listen to it a few more times before I make my mind up on it.

To be fair I never saw Funny People but I heard that Wilco played a big part in that film. But just from watching the trailer it's pretty clear this movie is about the Wilco song.

What's with all these movies about Wilco coming out?
