  1. I'm late to thread, but what's the general consensus? From what I've read this sounds like a must get.
  2. I still beg to differ: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaPWtX1xG3s Those are some great lyrics, you cannot deny that.
  3. Well so far I like this album a lot more than the one about cars. I didn't really like the lyrics to Angry World on the first listen but the music was solid and I have a feeling that song will fall into place on the album. Love And War and Walk With Me are brilliant. Hitchiker is a classic as well, I haven't heard the album version, but based on the live performances recently it should be a great one. Sounds like the godfather of grunge is about to reclaim his throne.
  4. Track Listing: 01. "Walk With Me" 02. "Sign Of Love" 03. "Someone's Gonna Rescue You" 04. "Love And War" 05. "Angry World" 06. "Hitchhiker" 07. "Peaceful Valley Boulevard" 08. "Rumblin'" Performance of Hitchhiker from the Twisted Road tour: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PjkabhISmAQ I can't fucking wait for this.
  5. New one sounds exciting but I'm looking forward to the unreleased ones more. Can't wait to finally hear Homegrown. From what I've heard from it could definitely be his best album.
  6. I hope they leave Homegrown and the other albums the way they were intended.
  7. I'm pretty sure Homegrown is his best album.
  8. I saw them back in '04, I didn't mind seeing them one bit. Although I got to meet Frank after the show and got him to autograph a setlist, which was thrown out while I was at college, but whatever. YES you should go see them.
  9. It's only an EP, but you can't go wrong with free, especially if it's the Pixies. All you have to do is go to http://www.pixiesmusic.com/ and enter your email address and they'll send you a download link. Track Listing: 1. Dancing The Manta Ray (2:25) 2. Monkey Gone To Heaven (2:55) 3. Crackity Jones (1:43) 4. Gouge Away (2:51) Lots of energy one this one. I'd love to catch them on their current tour if I could.
  10. If anyone could a do a covers album and make it work, Neil Young could for sure.
  11. Blackbird was pretty good, imo. But I don't really like the idea of cover albums either. I just hope they put Homefires in the box set somewhere. Hopefully it'll get released before the end of the year.
  12. I really am liking this on the first listen. A lot.
  13. I prefer the Kicking Television version.
  14. Thanks for posting that link. I forgot to put that in the OP. edit: I hope Homefires is on it.
  15. So when do we get to download our free tracks? Like the Moor Like the Moon EP with YHF, or the Sky Blue Sky EP. Been long enough hasn't it?
  16. Can't believe no one has said this yet, Prisoners of Rock and Roll by Neil Young.
  17. That was pretty good if I say so myself.
  18. This was tough, I actually deleted my vote for 'Cars,' which I had voted for just because of the scene in IATTBYH, but after listening, Venus Stop The Train was clearly the better moment.
  19. I was just joking of course. Sure it's a good song but there's so many songs that are better on SBS. Hate It Here, Either Way, Side With The Seeds, Walken, Sky Blue Sky. I just don't find You Are My Face to be outstanding, at least compared to those other tracks.
  20. I see what you did there.. Honestly though I didn't realize You Are My Face was such a favorite on this album. Maybe since I've heard the original version by Relatively Clean Rivers it's not as special for me or something. Still a good song though.
