  1. Well, I don't claim to be a Neil scholar or anything just a fan, but doesn't Neil hate this album and most critics consider that band incarnation to not be up to par? Isn't the main reason for most of the accolades due to the scarcity of the album and fan lure? Whatever it is I like the album. Also, I was not trying to make any comparisons to FITR and TFA, just the fact that they both seem to have critics on both sides of the fence. Also, I don't care what anyone says, the album is down and dirty and I like it. Everyone is entitled to their opinion folks.
  2. I like the album. Down and dirty. Maybe the fact that I'm from Michigan helped me appreciate the car theme. Thought it was cheesy at first but it grew on my. Completely digging Fuel Line. I also like his shitty videos. I've always been known as a Neil Young fluffer though. I actually like Time Fades Away.
  3. I've been driving around with Colorado plates that haven't been updates in 3 years. I'm going to get caught one of these days.
  4. Do you guys think there's a chance that's Jeff's rig? Or maybe Sue's?
  5. I'm not going to read this whole thread but it does seem very ridiculous. Not every album can be fantastic and not many artist continually put out their best work album after album. Great artists such as Dylan, Clapton, Neil Young and many more have had dry spells in their careers. Not that I think this applies to Wilco, but it certainly doesn't mean that a band should stop being creative just because they have made what is perceived at one time to be their best album and the next few don't receive the same critical acclaim. On top of all that Wilco is raging in their live shows right now.
  6. Billy Joel and Elton John are opening for THEM! Me thinks the Wilco fans don't likes the April Fools
  7. Wow...just wow! Link to Rolling Stone Article
  8. Just wanted to clarify after the "will jay ever let it go" comment. made me wonder.
  9. Nope, the blur is there because I was trying to take the pic and drive as it it took me a minute to get my camera out and the light turned green. The plate is real I promise. Also, jff, you know that really isn't Jay's plate right? At least I seriously doubt it's his. Your friends would think your a tool if you were still driving a vanity plate of the band you got kicked out of eight years later.
  10. Because if it does, I was driving behind you the other day
  11. Maple Pudding with Sugared Pecans: Makes 4 servings Pure maple flavor and the crunch of sugared pecans make this pudding one of my favorites. The sugared pecans can be used as a garnish far other desserts, too, such as Southern Sweet Potato Spice Pie or Carrot Cake (see book for recipes). Sugared Pecans 1 tablespoon egg white 3 tablespoons granulated sugar 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 3/4 cup pecan halves Maple Pudding 1/4 cup cornstarch 1/4 teaspoon salt 2-1/2 cups whole milk 1/2 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar 1/2 cup pure maple syrup 3 large egg yolks 3 tablespoons unsalted butter,
  12. Good to hear this will look batter on the small screen!!!
  13. Wilco Ryan Adams & the Cardinals Phish The Raconteurs Roger Waters
  14. I enjoyed the film last night but was a bit surprised at the picture quality. Maybe it was the equipment it was being projected on it but looked like footage shot on VHS in the 80's. Maybe that was the style they were going for but I was hoping for crystal clear HD footage. I hate to be a buzzkill but I also thought the film as a whole was a little uneven. The narrative angle didn't really flow with the live footage angle. Other than those two points I thought the footage was great and sound was fantastic. The bit at the end with Jeff's dad was priceless!
  15. I know the 3rd row will be rocking on Tuesday night
  16. I've been to a few theater shows recently where if you were standing then you were a dick. I'm kind of tall but if the people in front of me are standing then I sure as hell will be.
  17. So I have to confess that I've only seen Wilco a handful of times and it's always been in larger venues or at festivals. Will everyone at the Pabst theater show be sitting down or standing? Is there Wilco etiquette for these type of shows?
  18. I agree, no way this is a mashup. If you listen very closely you can hear Yoko a few times come in on the chorus. You can hear her throughout the song. That makes it real for me. On a polished mastered recording they would of pulled those vocal bits out of the track. But since this was a quick recording from the session all that stayed.
  19. The only reason I threw tickets back was because I was only going to travel up if I had really great seats. Having the shows during the week is a little hard for me living in Chicago. Pulling 3rd row is worth dealing with the BS to make it up there. But yes, it was greedy
  20. I threw back tickets three other times hoping to pull something that good. I was almost getting really pissed at myself for throwing back row T tickets. Never give up! Nice.
