  1. Billy is playing where I live next month. This is the press release:
  2. David did another live chat last night. I didn't see it, but I am going to check it out today. He says all the Dick's Picks are going to be re-released on cd and vinyl. I didn't know they were doing cds. I guess they are not selling them by way of the Dead.net. I just checked on Amazon and Dick's Picks Vol. 25 is there.
  3. Is it this one? (1999 Metal Front Zemaitis)
  4. Rich looks like Eric Clapton (circa 1970-1971).
  5. I wonder if that is due to not rehearsing that many songs.
  6. I am curious as to how Jackie sounds in the band.
  7. I was watching some of Mike Campbell Guitar Collection videos today. That guy has some nice guitars. Too bad you have to pay some bucks and sign up at the website to see all the videos. I guess there are 15 segments all together.
  8. I was listening to all their albums today for the first time in a long time (well, up through New Adventures in Hi-Fi ). I was curious to see if they still had an active website. And sure enough, there is all sorts of stuff being posted on it. That is how I ran across the news about that re-issue. Oddly enough, I was listening to Green at the time.
  9. Music writing is so bad these days - Lester Bangs must be spinning in his grave. It should be:
  10. Ryan Adams Plays New Songs In London, Album Coming
  11. I love the take of Happy and Tumbling Dice from that film. You can see Keith yelling at Mick Taylor - pretty funny.
  12. I would like to have seen them back in the day, but I wouldn't bother now.
  13. I think I can see your point. I just always saw them as a get in there and knock it out sort of band. Of course, that may depend on which era we are talking about. I suppose Sticky Fingers may be the first polished sounding Stones album. When I listen to live albums from that time I try to recall that most bands did have that great of a sound system to work with. But the power and energy that makes the Stones sound comes through on that album.
  14. That is interesting and weird. I never thought of the Stones as much of a studio band.
  15. I am guessing since Eric sold all of his guitars, he just uses stock Fenders now? From what I have seen in various videos, the ones he plays look new. I've been under that bridge in a ship a time or three.
  16. He also played one (an ES-335) of those towards the end of Cream.
  17. I would think her tirade had to do with the demons in her head, and her holy roller belief system. Plus - everything gets recorded and shared these days.
  18. Here's one of them: Greatest Guitarists of All Time. It's nice to see Carlos on your list. A joke now, but at one time he was the man.
  19. That is how it is for me. Probably due to the fact that is what I started out listening to those dudes way back in the last century. Plus - Robert Johnson records are too dam scary to listen to in the dark.
  20. You forgot Jeff Beck and Peter Green (and a whole bunch of others that other people can name). I suppose what I was thinking of was the trinity - Page/Beck/Clapton.
