I hope the price does not go up on the box set. I can't afford to buy right now.

Pete Townshend's John Peel lecture - full textAnalogman replied to Albert Tatlock's topic in Someone Else's Song Of course, you know the story about John, Keith, and the name Led Zeppelin. It's the devil's music. I still prefer LZ III over all the other albums. Oh - I love the band, it's just they are larger than life and on a whole other trip from The Who. I think the Stones often dismissed them also. Which is odd - as Jimmy has played on some Stones tracks over the years. I have to say - Robert had great hair in those days. I have hair envy.

Pete Townshend's John Peel lecture - full textAnalogman replied to Albert Tatlock's topic in Someone Else's Song I think he was pretty tanked during the filming of that number. Led Zeppelin were suppose to play that show - but only Robert, John, and John Paul were there.

I have the Smile book. I also have the Brian Wilson book. I also have a book called The Beach Boys in Their Own Words that I had been trying to find for decades, and I found it in a record store in Pittsburgh a few years ago.
-
It would not be The Beach Boys without him though.

He always says that. It's funny to watch Al, Bruce, and Mike go on about how great the sessions were for Smile.

I only got the 2 disc set.

Ratt use to cover Aerosmith songs. Sometimes - You Should By Now runs through my head in an endless loop. Fun fact: Stephen Pearcy now looks like a Rat(t).
-
Who is now in Ratt. . .
-
	I don't think so.

I use to listen to that show when Steve Harley was doing it. I also like the Suzi Quatro shows.

Pete Townshend's John Peel lecture - full textAnalogman replied to Albert Tatlock's topic in Someone Else's Song I think he was being sincere as in - those people are posters on the wall to you, but I knew them. For me, it's always been The Who. I like Led Zeppelin, but they are up there in the clouds somewhere - The Who were street level.

The BBC does not always make it's programs available to those outside the area. I believe there are ways around this - you can Google it and find a way to do it. My favorite show is Sounds of the 60s - Brian Matthew. Jimmy Savile passed away a few days ago.

I don't know - I will have to check it out some more.
-
I would not agree with that statement.

I bought it on cassette tape (and then cd at some point). I bet that record album goes for a lot of money on Ebay.
-
I don't think so. That was in the old days - when you had to buy an album to actually hear it.

Check out the Ryan Adams Archive.

The sort of song I don't care for is Get On Your Boots (and I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight). Although I often run down Zooropa, that song Lemon is a great song.

I may be the only person here who likes the song A Man and A Woman.
-
There is one version of the new Achtung Baby box set that is over 400 hundred dollars.
-
I'll probably get the 20 dollar version at some point.

I wonder why he is so worried about having "hit singles" at this point? When they start talking like that, or going on about dance music and/or techno, they lose me.

I believe that section of the Wilco website is down. Or they no longer have them up for download. If just Google A Ghost Is Born Ep, you will probably find it.
