I'm up to The Vampires of Venice episode. I think this new guy is pretty witty. -
It seems odd to me that they are even doing that song.
-
I wonder if that is due to his solo tour? I mean to say - I wonder if he took on too much this past year.
-
I think we had to take those sorts of things down. I can't recall exactly.

I happened to look in one of the giant cd bins at Walmart yesterday. I figured it was only greatest hits, but I noticed they have cds such as all the Van Halen remasters for 5 bucks each.

Here's another one: Jethro Tull - Aqualung (40th Anniversary - the $17.98 version) Jethro Tull - Aqualung (40th Anniversary - the $136 version) I have the 1996 edition - and it does sound really bad. I have read this new release is suppose to be good. (I believe I use to own this album on 8-Track back in the day.) -
I suppose something I have to remember is that the magazine changed a few years ago, or whenever it was. I was looking at some recent issues at the laundromat the other day. It seems to me they are a souped up Entertainment Weekly these days. I would think not too many people want to read long interviews or articles anymore. I figure they don't have much going on outside of celebrity news and short articles - except to do issues that have to do with some sort of list.

I think he wrote most of the music in the Black Crowes, or rather, that is what I have read over the years. The one thing I didn't care for - was his singing ability. I guess that is something he worked on, as it seems to be better now. I don't know if the band is gone for good or what, but I have to say their last few albums are the only new releases I have bought in the last several years that did anything for me.
-
I've looked at them, but I have not grabbed any. I am thinking about buying his new album. It's funny that Rich beat Chris on putting out a new solo album. There should also be a Trigger Hippy album sometime this coming year.

The other day I went on a mission to try and stop all these sites from sending me emails every day. I guess I missed Wolfgang's Vault. Anyhow - The Black Crowes at The Newport Folk Festival, August 2nd, 2008 (video).

I didn't look at the list, as I am not really interested in lists anymore. But I will say that people such as Joe Bonamassa, Joe Satriani, and Steve Vai all do things I could never do, but they don't move me. Look up Fleetwood Mac - Worried Dream (live) on Youtube - that's guitar playing with feeling. Of course, it all comes down to what you are into. Hendrix always ends up at the top of those lists, he did years ago, and he will the next time they do such an issue. That's cool. I can watch Rainbow Bridge clips all day long - particularity, the second take of Hey Baby from the film.

I listened to that cd, and then Ladies and Gentlemen the other day.

Billy Corgan Starts Chicago Wrestling Company -
I think I read somewhere that on the new boxset, they used the original vocals were possible. I figure that is due to the fact they only overdubbed on the tracks that made up the original album. I figure the rest of the reels were put on the shelf. What was the second release from that tour? Hundred Year Hall. I have that one. I have not heard any of the new 72 shows.

It's the one called Classic Hits Radio. I think they broadcast from there. Although, I could be wrong. There are actually some great oldies stations in Pittsburgh, but I can't pick those up with my radio.
-
I think the one here is from Chicago or somewhere.

Anyone who thinks you, or The Owl and Bear do this to make money must be nuts. I know sometimes people get upset when people who run download sites ask for money - but - to me it is no different than a BT site asking for donations. And I have noticed that people don't seem to get upset about that.
-
There are some short but interesting videos being posted about the making of Smile. I managed to pick up the two-disc version yesterday. (Brian signing session.)
-
If you need any help gathering set lists, I would be glad to help out. Also - if there is a movement to donate, I am up for that also.
-
It's funny - I have never cared for Steely Dan, but I love WIlco's version of that song.
-
Thanks Rob for working on it. I have always used and appreciated the site quiet a bit over the years. It's really the best Wilco website there is out there.

I have a radio that looks like an early 60s transistor radio that I use at work from time to time. Too bad A.M. seems to be more about shit like Huey Lewis and Hall and Oates than pre-80s oldies these days.
-
I listen to A.M. or the BBC.
