  1. I don't much care for Full Moon Fever either. It's too polished and it's one of those album I've heard too many times. I suppose the neat thing is - the band has several different sounds/periods, thus - there is something for everyone. I am partial to the live (live sounding) later day stuff. Although - Damn The Torpedoes is a great album - maybe the best one - certainly of the early period.
  2. That's it. I have that boxset.
  3. I'd say both of those things probably. I also have this thing where if all the songs seem to rhyme, it bugs me. I think Stan said something in the documentary a few years ago about those how when he got into the Lynne method, and all the overdubbing, that he sort of lost his way.
  4. I'd say there is at least one of his albums I can't stand - Into The Great Wide Open.
  5. It's still going on for me - just at home - not anywhere else.
  6. People can also do a search by way of bootsdaily.com - or the In A Future Age section of Via Chicago.
  7. That's interesting. The song is really an old mountain/spiritual/traditional song. I believe Uncle Tupelo learned the song from a album of field recordings. I think the song originates in South Carolina. It is African-American in origin.
  8. It's also good to hear there may be another Mudcrutch album. I liked that album a lot more than the his last solo album, or the last Heartbreakers album.
  9. More Mermaid Avenue? Mermaid Avenue Deluxe Edition New Mermaid Avenue There's also the Jay Farrar album of Guthrie songs coming out. I think the new stuff on the boxset will just be the b-sides and demos that are already out there.
  10. That's it. You can't beat the original version of Do It Again though.
  11. I rather like that album also. I bought it when it came out.
  12. I agree - as that is one of his best albums.
  13. That news sort of came out a while back - when one of them was talking about doing promo spots for an anniversary tour. I'd go if I had the chance. I guess David Marks is happy. I wonder what the re-re-re-re-leases are going to be? I've already bought all of them 3 or 4 times.
  14. Tom Petty Talks New Album, Tour, Sandwiches, in Twitter Q&A
  15. I've never seen either show posted on any BT sites. It could be they will pop-up in the future.
  16. The first time I ever did such a thing - there was a dude standing behind me that had just showed up as the doors opened. (The guy who yells Heavy Metal Drummer on the live album.)
  17. There are also a whole bunch of UT live shows out there. And - you can also find a lot of UT clips on Youtube.
  18. It is totally weird to see Dave Mustaine and Jason up there playing with the band. Whiplash is one the greatest metal songs of all time. I've always loved the power in that song.
  19. Someone marked that as an Uncle Tupelo song in a Robert Plant show track listing I saw on Dime a Dozen. March 16-20, 1992 includes one of my very favorite Jeff songs - Fatal Wound.
  20. This is the thread that keeps on giving. The young poster above you should check out Bob Dylan's version of Moonshiner.
  21. 30th Anniversary Testimonials Check out the one with Michael Schenker. He manages to congratulate himself. A nice report on the shows. I should take some photos of my Metallica T-shirts. I began listening to them in late 1984.
  22. I am finding them on Daily Motion. I'd rather stream, than actually mess with downloading them.
  23. The Adventures of Pete & Pete cast reunion
