  1. I received it as a Christmas present a few years ago. I think Jackson states in the beginning that there were things he had to leave out due to space limitations. That is why I was curious about the B-Bender. I'd say Jerry was playing a Strat during those April 71 shows. This is the next show I am going to check out: The Grateful Dead - 12/26/1969.
  2. I have the GD gear book - all that info is pretty much in there.
  3. I don't recall reading this in the GD Gear Book, but I wonder if Jerry ever used a B-Bender? The stuff on Loser sort of sounds like he is using a B-Bender to me. (Although, I know he is not.)
  4. The version of Bird Song on that collection is also rather good. No source as appeared for the Santa Barbara show - so far.
  5. What Wilco show are you looking for? You know what is really good? Jerry's solo in Loser (the one on the Ladies and Gentlemen box - April 28, 1971).
  6. I think I knew this - but forgot. The Dicks Pick's cds are not being kept in print. I re-learned this fact the other day when I went to buy Volume 4.
  7. I have Ticket To New Year's and The Grateful Dead Movie on VHS. I bought back in the early 1990s.
  8. Sony CFD-Z500 I spliced some speaker wire onto the speaker connections so I could separate the speakers farther apart. I think it sounds pretty good. Plus it has a manual equlalizer.
  9. I was reading through the The Deadhead's Taping Compendium the other night and came across that show. I think Betty should write a book. Speaking of stereos - last summer I got an old Sony jambox from the early 1990s - never used - for 25 bucks. It was still sealed in the orginal box.
  10. I still have not seen a track list, but I did find this by way of an Ebay listing:
  11. I'm not much of a Paul fan, but that is a great album. That is cool that he knows about the band. That must have been a pretty cool experience for John.
  12. If you didn't find a thread for the show/torrent in the In A Future Age section, then no source has appeared yet. Or no source that has appeared on the popular BT sites anyhow.
  13. The British view of Americans in 1966: Doctor Who - The Chase (Part 3 - Flight Through Eternity) Check out the accents. This is a great episode. They end up fighting the Daleks, Frankenstein, and Count Dracula all at the same time.
  14. I don't mess with Mp3s. But - it is not hard to convert FLAC files to Mp3 files. You just have to mess with it a little bit until you get it. Try this (one example): How to convert Flac files to Mp3 using windows
  15. You can search Wilcobase, or the After The Show thread to find out such things. Also - to find out if a recent show has appeared in torrent form, you can check out the In a Future Age section. One of the reasons we created The Wilco Live Show archive was so older shows can be found and downloaded. I don't think I have ever seen the 9/27/2004 show anywhere though. I don't think there is a source for that show out there at the present time.
  16. That's what I was remembering. I read that in a book some where.
  17. I don't know a lot about Steely Dan, but I think a session guy named Elliott Randall played the solo on the album.
  18. That's Walter Becker playing the bass.
