I'm listening to 2/13/1970 and reading some stuff at Dead Essays. There is quite a long article there about Bob and Pigpen's dismissal from the band.

Did Heath Ledger Base His Joker On Tom Waits?

They need some more photos of Betty. When I was there back in the 1990s, there were NO PHOTOGRAPHS signs all over the place. I guess whoever took those got away with it due to the fact they were working for a news channel.

New song - That's Why God Made The Radio. Setlist from last night's show in Arizona:

I think for me it's about the same as those who don't get the Grateful Dead. I just don't see the appeal of this guy's music. I was recently watching a video of a song from Blunderbuss and my first thought was this guy has has been listening to Tanx (T.Rex album). I am sure he has talent and abilities that I will never have, but he does nothing for me. I think I actually own White Blood Cells, but I could never really get into the songs/music. I do like some of what I have read about him - his efforts with regards to mastering music and things of that nature.

It's also up at bt.etree.org.

New Neil Young album - with Crazy Horse!
Analogman replied to Vacant Horizon's topic in Someone Else's Song
It's interesting how people hear things in different ways. I think that song sounds about as bad as the Lou Reed/Metallica album. -

That's right. I think he was also rumored to be working with Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, and Jason Bonham a few years ago. Another letter from Axl:

Little Steven's Speech I've been digging around looking for video from the ceremony. I guess someone named Myles Kennedy stood in for Axl Rose. Mr. Brownstone
