I thought it was great. But - it was whitewashed somewhat.

I think you can get the Pet Sounds box for 40 bucks.
-
What's your thoughts on all of this at the moment? Can we at least pay to preserve the site as is?
-
I think some of the stuff on the box is from the humor album Brian wanted to do. I am looking forward to hearing that.

It's been mentioned. I prefer Wilcobase.

If I can help you with anything, let me know. I would at least hope Wilcobase will stay up as is - I am willing to pay for that.

The Rise and Fall of Columbia House

And before that, records and tapes. I still have several from back in the day (1970s). -

That's interesting.

I always found that backdrop funny. At least - it is funny once you learn what the band's name actually refers to.

They must have a heck of a budget for that show. (The set they recreated there is the set from The Doors Ed Sullivan Show appearance.)

My thought was - let's to make it a team effort. I know it is hard to take care of yourself and get plenty of rest while pursing these interests, but it can be done. And someday - add a BT site and message board to the mix.

Black Sabbath Reuniting for New Album, Tour

Eventually, I will let it go. . . I liked Wilcobase quiet a bit. I don't want to look at blogs, Facebook pages, FM.com, and the band's official website to find set lists. I like to find them in the After The Show section, or at Wilcobase. We all like what we like. And I still say it is a shame that all these years Wilcobase gets tossed aside. I also spent a god bit of time connecting show dates with links for the shows at the Owl and Bear. I just think some other people should have been asked. I know there are others out there who have the willingness.

It has been abandoned by those who control it. There are those who offered to take over the operation, but nothing was delivered. You can search the After The Show section to find set lists for the past few years.
-
Oh I plan to - as soon as I can afford it. Which is odd for me - as I seldom ever buy music anymore. I may buy 5 or 6 cds a years, it that. I think this year I may have bought more than that.
-
It just does not sound right to me. From what I recall, it was too clean or sterile sounding. I am not really interested in Brian Wilson solo albums. I am interested in The Beach Boys.
-
I've heard it, but I don't own it. You can't beat Hal Blaine's drumming. I would not do this every band, but when it comes to The Beach Boys, I can actually sit and listen to all the out takes and fragments. Example - Walk On By (on the Friends/20/20 two-fer). It is 55 seconds of good stuff.

There is a one and two disc option. I don't understand placing the Brian solo version over the Beach Boys version. But - everyone likes what they like. That's cool.

remastered, re-packaged, deluxe, super legacy edition
Analogman replied to Wild Frank's topic in Someone Else's Song
I think there is a thread about the PF re-issues. I bought the last Exile remaster - waste of money.
