  1. I'm watching the film by way of On Demand. I'd say it's pretty powerful so far. I'd like to have the hat that Jeff is wearing - since those are my initials. I would have loved to see them back in the early days. That song Immortality gets me every time. I'd forgotten about the Temple Of The Dog album. I still have the tape I bought when it came out.
  2. We tried to get Wilco on archive.org. The band said no. That is why we built The Wilco Archive.
  3. I think they are from multi-track tapes that were used to make the original album. Or they are from the SBD - as I guess a lot of the original tapes were overdubbed when they were working on the album.
  4. I believe the deal is - all the shows that were in the big expensive boxset are now all coming at separately. There is also the Europe '72 Volume 2 cd - which is a companion piece to the original Europe '72. This is not to be confused with the Europe '72 that was in The Golden Road boxset - which contains bonus tracks that were not on the original Europe '72 release. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
  5. I never messed with those re-issues either. I may have to check those out at some point.
  6. I was looking at the Lifes Rich Pageant (the first R.E.M. album I ever bought) 25th anniversary reissue on Amazon. I see there are complaints about it being loud. That is a shame.
  7. Jimmy Fallon To Honor Pinky Floyd With Week of Tributes
  8. Oh - that is pretty cool. We talked about those books from time to time in our other GD threads.
  9. I have them. The are out of print, but you can sometimes find them for a reasonable price on Amazon.
  10. Interesting article. He's shitting the bull there quite a bit though. I've always preferred Love Is Hell over Heartbreaker and Gold.
  11. I thought so also. I normally would not buy such a thing, but since some of it was filmed at the show I was at - I suppose I may get it eventually.
  12. That photo makes me think of The Basement Tapes album cover.
  13. Neil Peart Taking Center Stage: Lifetime of Live Performances
  14. There was filming at the show I was at also. It was for the DVD Neil is putting out.
  15. For those that have the channel -
  16. That's about the only song I really care for on that album. I think that may have been one of last cassettes I bought.
  17. You definitely need to get those albums. I've always thought that Michael was not really into music - outside of Patti Smith. I saw a post on Facebook that said he has some sort of disease? I also didn't even know they had put out a greatest hits cd.
  18. Thanks for the clarification. I made a thread for the torrent.
  19. I guess this is why he canned the Buffalo Springfield tour: Neil Yound Releasing Autobiography Nex t Year
  20. My first thought is the old album sounds better. The new cd isn't so bad. But - they have changed some of the tracks. When I say toilet paper, that's when you come rolling out.
  21. Both nights are out there to be had in FLAC form. Check the BT section of the Via Chicago. As for recent shows - you just have to wait until they appear.
  22. It's madness. But - I keep buying them.
