  1. Plus, he has done all sorts of solo shows since he got better.
  2. Like a lot of other old bands, they grabbed a sound a like dude and carried on. It seems odd, but I guess they give the fans what they want. And You and I is one of my favorites. It's sort of funny that Steve was tuning up, and it ends up on the beginning of the track.
  3. I probably did at some point.
  4. The one I have is old. It was given to me years and years ago. When I went to find a new needle for it recently, I found that it sometimes sells for several hundred dollars. Of course, I had to take it apart last weekend due to one of the built-in RCA cables not working. It has somehow came apart on the inside, so I need to solder it. I have recently got my stereo system together for the first time in a long time. Now all I need is a tape deck.
  5. He also wrote the song Walk Hard. I think much like Peter Case, and Steve Forbert the music he makes today is different from he did all those years ago.
  6. I am not very interested in the later day stuff. I am not really a fan of New Wave or Power Pop or whatever you call it. That sort of music just does not speak to me. Like a lot of other old bands, I guess they changed with the times. I suppose I have to respect that. If you want to see something really cool, do a search on Youtube for an acoustic version of Long Distance Runaround from the 75 tour. I have heard that Jon may be coming back. He is one of my favorite singers of all time, and I would love to see him some day.
  7. I still don't get the guilty pleasure deal. What's wrong with liking great music made by musicians who are some of the best at what they do? You do know that Jon Anderson is no longer in the band. They have a dude who was in a Yes tribute band as the lead singer now. He is really good, I think. His name is BenoƮt David. Also, Oliver Wakeman has replaced his father, Rick Wakeman on keyboards. Although, I guess Geoff Downes is back in the band now. I do have to say that although Alan White is great, Bill Bruford is the man.
  8. I guess Phil is creating a performance space also: Phil Lesh to Open New Venue
  9. That could be one of the songs from the album they did with Marc and Ed that never got released.
  10. As far as I know. But I don't go looking for shows elsewhere, so I could be wrong. Usually bt.etree.org is that place to find all the recent shows.
  11. I like that sort of deal. The more the better.
  12. I posted that, and then forgot about grabbing it last night. I'll get to it.
  13. I guess you could say he is a campaigner for that place.
  14. I've heard that is going to change.
  15. You should be able to go to Wilcobase and get all the setlists you want. It's just sort of behind at the moment. All you need to do is say - "setlist courtesy of Wilcobase". Information wants to be free.
  16. Just saw this on my Facebook page: It's odd - yesterday I was looking at the thousands of cds I have and was remembering a time when I use to look at, or buy a cd almost everyday. And now I might buy a couple a year, if that. It's funny how things change.
  17. It's one of the best rock books ever written.
  18. That book is several years old now, of course. Maybe it meant just that one year.
  19. A lot of it is funding other people's research. Particularity, the Lionel Train stuff. I think in that book, the author states he made more money from the train stuff, than he did off the music stuff. I doubt his old records sell all that much. Maybe Harvest.
  20. Speaking of shows, someone is putting up all of the Black Crowes 1996 shows at Dime a Dozen.
  21. I don't do lawns - except once a few years ago. I don't even really go to concerts. It was really just everything lining up last summer as to why I made the Rush show.
  22. As long as he does not return to the screaming in the microphone style of the past, it's all good.
