  1. Nick Mason's book is pretty cool. Pink Floyd Drummer on the Band's Unearthed Recordings, Endurance
  2. It's not everyday the man himself issues a press release: To my fans and followers
  3. Roger Waters with David Gilmour "Comfortably Numb" David Gilmour and Nick Mason Join Roger Waters in London
  4. Queen 40 Limited Edition Collector's Box Set The rest are coming out in June.
  5. I've never been into wrestling, or had a basement to hang out in, but those first two Ozzy albums are great. They are actually being re-released with the original bass/drum tracks. I'd say Pink Floyd was pretty much a darker side of things band - once they quit being a silly singles band, and moved onto being an album band. But - good art ain't always easy. I have no desire to hear The Wall again, but it is extraordinary brilliant album. I'm far from a Pink Floyd worshiper actually - but Dark Side of The Moon is one of best albums ever made. No doubt. And Live at Pompeii - you can't beat
  6. Interview with Nick Mason about the re-issues: Pink Floyd Announce Massive Reissue Project
  7. I found this the other day. It's pretty cool.
  8. That was actually done for the Jeff Beck album Flash. I think it is ok - it just has the overproduced sound of the time. Maybe I'm Amazed and (I Know) I'm Losing You were actually Faces tracks - not Rod solo tracks. I think both of those covers are great.
  9. Wolfgang's Vault now has video up - including some of Van Morrison. I am surprised he did not stop it. I think we will see more and more of stuff getting re-packaged and sold as time goes on. It's a way for the big record companies to make some money I suppose, and push people's back catalogs. Plus - they will get in on the vinyl craze until it dies off again. I still think the best re-mastered/re-packaged cds I have are The Golden Road boxset (GD), The Byrds re-masters, and maybe the Hendrix re-masters.
  10. I figure I'll get the Dark Side of The Moon two disc version. The CD I have from 199? whatever does not sound so great. I am not really interested in the rest of their albums. I figured Capitol would be trotting out the PK catalog again at some point. Plus - they have to get the vinyl out there to cash in on the vinyl craze.
  11. You can direct download both discs at the Live Wilco Archive.
  12. Mountain Bed reminded me that the other day was the anniversary of the Harpur College show (1970-05-02). That's a show one should most certainly have. It was released as Dick's Picks Number 8.
  13. You may be able to find it online somewhere, and it is told in a couple of interviews in the books. Short version - Supposedly, the band or band management would not pay her some money she was due, so she held on to the tapes. She had the tapes stored in a storage unit, and she did not have the money to pay for storage, so the contents of her storage locker were auctioned off. The tapes were spread from there by those who bought them. Also - many were ruined due to flooding that had taken place in the area. There are some copies of the first volume at Amazon for around 30 bucks. The othe
  14. I'd say her work is probably my most favorite out of all the people who worked on capturing the GD sound. I find the story of how those tapes got out into the world both sad and fascinating.
  15. There is also the Taper's Section at the same place Mr. Hippo pointed out. I'm just a novice. You should get Mountain Bed to post here. I would tell you to the get GD Taper's Books and read through those, but they are out of print, and cost a fortune. Maybe you can decide on a year, or years, and dig around among all the dead shows at Archive.org. You could also dig around in the other GD threads on here. You will find links to those on the first page of this thread. There is also this site: Grateful Dead Listening Guide Here are some I have bookmarked: Grateful Dead Live at The Ma
  16. I think you can watch all of the NBC shows at NBC.com. Of course, I really only like to watch them when they are actually on. That was Interpretive Dance, I think.
  17. Community, The Office, and Parks and Recreation are the only comedies I watch these days. I use to think Parks and Recreation was a Office rip-off, but I don't feel that it is now. Speaking of Joel, another great episode of Community is Physical Education.
  18. The Toby's brother deal was funny.
  19. Have you ever heard the show they did with The Grateful Dead? You should check that out. I believe it was around the time of that album's release or after.
  20. I think I liked The Office better. It looks like the next few episodes are going to be wacky. Parks and Recreation is off to a good start. I just think April and Andy are great. When I was at the doctor's office last year, the girl working behind the counter was like a real life version of April.
  21. The handshake part was neat though.
  22. I saw that one - but did not really pay attention to it. The one tonight seemed sort of lacking.
  23. I'd go for that, although, my hair's too thin to whip around now. I bet it has been shown before.
