Most Beautiful Songs that Break Your Heart
Analogman replied to sgtpepper64's topic in Someone Else's Song
Some heavy songs indeed - Trouble is on the album Mona Bone Jakon. Father and Son is on the album Tea for the Tillerman. -
True - it would be however many times played minus the past year or so. The setlists posted in this section or the track-lists posted in the Greatest Lost Track of All Time section could also be used.
-
He can also go to Wilcobase and see how many times a song has been played.
-
Far out, man. Did Ozzy show up at any Record Stores?
-
You are starting out with the good stuff. It won't cost you a lot if you look in the right places. Almost all my records are beat to hell - just the way I like it.
-
I don't know anything about that stuff. I am not really into new music, or indie rock or whatever you call it. Maybe if you post some big photos I will be able to understand better. I was talking about old/used records.
-
Go to flea markets, and places such as the Salvation Army. You will find records without paying some greedy person a bunch of money. I don't think I have ever paid over ten bucks for a record album.
-
That's some mighty fine musicianship right there.
-
I could do without those sort of U2 songs. There was another article in Billboard the other day about how U2 are going to have the highest grossing tour ever.
-
I don't think I have ever seen the re-released version. I just have the version that was released on VHS years ago. Although I guess I have seen some clips on Youtube.
-
I can't say it caught my attention the first time around. We'll see.
-
I'd like to go see the movie next Wednesday. It would be cool to see the dancing girl in the U.S. Blues sequence up there on the big screen.

Circuital Streaming at Relix.com: My Morning Jacket "Circuital"
-
I think I got an email about that last night. I may check it out later.
-
It could be they do, but I already pay too much for cable. I don't have all that fancy stuff. They must have offered more money, or the ratings were not good enough for VH-1 to mess with it anymore. I guess it is good some clips are out there. The Alice Cooper Group - "ABC In Concert" 1972

Alice Cooper induction into Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. There are some other clips in the list on the right side of the page. It's a shame VH-1 does not run the ceremony any more. One of my favorite Alice Cooper's songs: Shoe Salesman

Another article about the Brandeis folk festival release: Long-forgotten recording of Bob Dylan's Brandeis folk festival performance to be released

About 2 hours of the interview is up at Archive.org: Owsley "Bear" Stanley interview with David Gans on 1991-01-13 A lot of what he is talking about (equipment wise) can also be found in the book Grateful Dead Gear - The Band's Instruments, Sound Systems, and Recording Sessions, From 1965 to 1995.
-
Oh, I know that. I just recall someone saying in one of those benefit After The Show threads that no taping was allowed. At least I think I recall seeing that posted.
-
Maybe it's the other benefit show. Or I am just thinking of something else.
-
I could be wrong, but I don't think any taping is allowed at the benefit shows. I seem to recall someone saying that last year.
-
Looks like it's happening: A Treasure: New Neil Young Album Coming
-
Grateful Dead Live at The Matrix on 1968-10-30 This above is really a Mickey And The Hartbeats show. Great stuff. I have not listened to it in a while.
-
If it was up at one of those sites, it is up at The Wilco Archive (minus a few shows we have been asked to take down).

Looks like Chris is going to be a busy guy: Bob Weir, Chris Robinson and Jackie Greene to Headline the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival
