Gary posted a photo of himself mixing the new album the other day. I am looking forward to hearing it. -
It has a cool album cover.

I recall when the City to City album came out. I was in the 8th grade.
-
That is true. I just moved mine for the first time in 16 years.

We have had this discussion before, but some chain stores are carrying them, such as Best Buy. I still find it funny that younger people are buying record albums. I am curious as to the age breakdown. I know some younger people who have never owned anything but an iPod.

I watched Liebestraum (1991) the other day. It had been a long time since I had seen that film. Also, I believe the movie channel THIS has been running Stormy Monday (1988) for the past few months.

I suppose I end up comparing him to Jack Casady, which is unfair. I'd say he had it down by the early 70s.
-
I don't know that he was that great, it depends on how you look at it, I guess.

It was that way with a lot of those bands back then. It had to do with the movement away from folk/acoustic music, to electric/rock music. I think Phil just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

Db.etree.org Wilco shows (1999) Wilcobase listing for November 1999. There is a show listed for November 18th, 1999 at Northampton. I figure someone will know and post an answer.
-
I don't think I ever paid attention to how accurate it was, I just remembered it being posted in the past. What's the date of the show you are referring to?
-
Wilco (band member time line)
-
I just noticed that you put up those shows. I am not going to mess with the Owl and Bear/Wilcobase links for the time being.
-
Once you figure out the year (you have two different years listed), you can go to Wilcobase and look for the show. If you find a page for the show, scroll down until you see Audio Sources, and look for one or two links that may be there. You can also do a search at db.etree.org/.

Maybe I should. I actually had the cds, but I got rid of them.

Doh! I meant the Christmas deal. I would think there is a collection of all those out there somewhere. There are ways to search Mp3 blogs, of course. Although, you may run across a bunch of dead links. I didn't know about that, I have never really looked at that message board, or if I have, it was a long time ago. I think the only R.E.M. song that has done anything for me since New Adventures in Hi-Fi is Daysleeper. But, as long as others enjoy the new stuff, it's all good.

I was wondering why the footage was so clear. I didn't think someone put it up from a VHS tape. I figure someone at murmurs.com would know, unless they frown on such things.
-
That's odd. You would think it would be out there. Right now I am watching the band on The Cutting Edge do a bunch of acoustic songs from 1984.
-
Speaking of old videos, I still need to get my hands on a copy of Athens, Ga. - Inside/Out. Swan Swan H is such a great song.
-
Right - there was a brief video of them doing that one also. I recall reading about them doing those songs.
-
I was watching a video of them covering Wichita Lineman the other day. Good stuff. I doubt I will get the new album, but I will listen to it online before I make a final decision. I can't see Warner Brothers making a deal like that these days.

I didn't think that book was all that great. Cherie Priest - Four and Twenty Blackbirds Boneshaker Dreadnought Anthony E. Zuiker - Level 26: Dark Origins Dark Prophecy: A Level 26 Thriller Featuring Steve Dark Steve Berry - The Emperor's Tomb

I wonder if they will have another garage sale like they did the first time they broke up the band. I was surprised by that also. And the fact no one sat in with the band.

Last night was the last show.
