This thread is getting close to the magic number, so I am going to close it up and start our 4th GD thread.

Why is there such disappointment over Wilco(The Album)?
Analogman replied to realrival's topic in Just A Fan
2003: Leroy and Mikael The guitar he was talking about was a Flying V. He used it for Kicking Television - if I recall correctly. -
I remember getting the album when it came out. Now that can make a dude feel old.

I should say I've often thought Al never got enough credit. One of my favorite BB songs: Beach Boys - Help Me, Rhonda (single version) The Beach Boys - Help Me, Ronda (album version) Al joined Mike and Bruce when they played at the Reagan show the other day. A bit shakey, but I like it: The Beach Boys - Rock and Roll Woman
-
Speaking of The Buffalo Springfield, I got my hands on this the other day:

I think that song is the same as Stairway To Heaven, or Freebird, I've heard it too many times. I've read about the new album, and noticed it was pretty much just a covers album.
-
I wonder why he chose to play Whipping Post? I've noticed he often he re-records Allman Brothers Band songs on his solo albums. I guess this new one has been given the T. Bone treatment. I don't think I have any of his solo albums.

Private Sessions: Gregg Allman - Creation of the Allman Brothers I've never seen this show. I guess it is on A&E on Sunday mornings.

That's right. -
I think he was giving David hell. They hated each other by that point. I have the film on dvd (with the extra stuff), but I have not watched it in a while. I rather like The New Animals version of Paint It Black from that show.

Mine too - as I have said too many times on here. I was the source for getting that show out to the public. I didn't even know what the heck I was doing then. -
I'll check it out. David Crosby's raps (the JFK deal)

I think there is a least one thread with links in this section of the message board. Do a search on Spiders. Or - you can look up the song at Wilcobase, and look for links at the bottom of the page when you find a show with that song. -
Yea - so much for the "spending time with our families" line.
-
I've always liked them that quite a bit. The box set is great. Buffalo Springfield (box set)
-
I think I read somewhere that he was going to be doing all new songs.
-
Yes, but I would not listen to an Eagles song if they were the last immigrant grocers on Earth. (It's also an Buffalo Springfield out take - it's on the box set.)
-
I saw that the other day. He seems to have a love/hate thing going on with the Rock Hall.
-
The only name I have heard is Adam MacDougall.
-
For those of you who live in California: The Chris Robinson Brotherhood
-
Exclusive: Buffalo Springfield to Reunite for Fall Tour I hope they do Whatever Happened to Saturday Night?
-
Although I've read about them somewhat, I've never heard those bands. The Grammys must be trying all sorts of things to get people to watch the broadcast.

Maybe well known, famous, or outstanding guitar player is a better term. It's no big deal. When I think of Thin Lizzy, and guitar players, I think of Brian Robertson and Scott Gorham.
-
There's a whole thread about that clip - you started it sometime ago. I still don't care for it. Anyhow, Gary had a long solo career beyond his time in Thin Lizzy. He also owned Peter Green's Les Paul.

I just saw this posted on another message board: GUITAR ace Gary Moore died on holiday yesterday - choking on his vomit after knocking back champagne and brandy
