  1. I think the length is just fine. But then, I don't worry about the length of songs. It is what it is. Even more weird - for those who have never seen it: Neil Young and Devo "Hey Hey, My My"
  2. I think I mainly like the groove in Ordinary People.
  3. Speaking of that - some Jerry solo material: Taper's Section (May 31 - June 6, 2010)
  4. It was suppose to be "early June" according to The Jayhawks fanpage.
  5. That is about as weird as watching people dance to Ohio. The two Neil songs I have been into lately: Interstate and Ordinary People.
  6. Jayhawks founder Olson recalls Bunkhouse debut Has anyone heard the re-release? How is the sound? I have not seen any release dates for the re-masters of Hollywood Town Hall and Tomorrow The Green Grass. I have to say those are two of my favorite albums of all time.
  7. I have been listening to the Buffalo Springfield boxset today. Neil and his team did a heck of a job on the sound. I wish they would have done the same for all of the albums and re-released them. (Only the first two were re-mastered.)
  8. Over 1,200 Fans Turn Ronnie James Dio's Funeral into Celebration Black Sabbath, Queensryche members attend Ronnie James Dio's funeral Ronnie James Dio memorial service: Heavy metal fans drown out Westboro Baptist Church Picketers
  9. Not really something I would normally watch, but, I actually watched House of 1000 Corpses (2003) and The Devil's Rejects (2005) this weekend. Rob Zombie is one messed up dude.
  10. Thrasher's Wheat "Cortez The Killer" - Washington, DC, May 24, 2010 (video) It's totally weird to hear him play that song solo on electric guitar. I suppose I am so use to hearing the Rust Never Sleeps version - as it was the first one I ever heard - way back in the day.
  11. That's right - we have mentioned that movie before around here. King of the Mountain (1981) - another one that a lot of people may not know about.
  12. I don't think he ever says much about it.
  13. I don't think all reunions are bad, I just think it is fouled when some of the key players are gone - such as, the lead singer. It's pretty standard these days though. I am surprised they did not go find a Rod Stewart impersonator to do the job.
  14. Supposedly, Peter and Dennis based their characters on Roger Mcguinn and David Crosby. I think Rebel Without A Cause was his first film.
  15. (I was just reading Shakey again earlier - the part about Dennis on the set of Human Highway.)
  16. People have always given me record albums - since I was a little kid. Although, I suppose it has not happened in a while now. The dude who gave me the Exile record bought it the day it came out, but I don't think he played it very often - as it was in good shape when he gave the record to me back in the early 1990s. I think a lot of times the records I received were going to be thrown away. Instead, they were given to me.
  17. Do you think the speed has changed? To me, it sounds slower. I have an original pressing. I have not heard it in a long time though.
  18. I keep finding a lot of posts like this out there: I wonder what the Hoffman folks have to say?
  19. He can sing - but this is not The Faces. They should call the band Ronnie Wood's All Stars Featuring some Old British Dudes, and one of those Punk Rock assholes, and some other British dude.
  20. Dudes - I have no idea who that is, and I am not interested in taking any audio file test. I am going to say this again - there is a difference between lossless and lossy files. One of the protocols that they we are usually asked in follow when we decide to participate in live show trading, is that we pass the shows around as lossless files. As they were originally shared. If someone wants to take the FLAC files and turn them into Mp3 files for their own personal use, they are free to do so. It is not hard to do, if people want to do that, they can do it themselves. If you do som
  21. All I can tell you is that you may want to read some stuff about live show trading, and lossy verses lossless files. We are not talking about sound quality, and I disagree with your view on that anyhow.
