  1. He is going to put out a new album this year. I sill prefer the pre-Love Gun albums over all the rest:
  2. One of my favorite Kiss songs:
  3. A good book to read: KISS: Behind the Mask - Official Authorized Biography
  4. I have all the Beach Boys cds. I don't really want to mess with ripping them (and all of the hassle of links to send the rips), but I will copy the discs and send them to you.
  5. We have those shows listed, buy we have not yet received them at The Wilco Live Show Archive. It will probably be hard to find those two shows - since they are from a few years ago.
  6. I believe files have to be either SHN or FLAC in order to be seeded at bt.etree.org and most all other BT sites.
  7. If I recall correctly, the sort of BT sites you are talking about do not allow AUD shows. I just don't think it's a good idea to send someone to such a place. I figure if they learn how to do BT, and stick with it, then they will learn about such places and then they can decide what to do from there. Also - (as I am sure you know) if someone is brand new to BT and turned loose on one of those places, they are not going to last long anyhow. And as you say, we have at least two places to find shows (audio and video) these days in addition to the various legal BT sites.
  8. I think we are talking about legal BT sites. DB PowerAmp is another one - although, EAC is the best.
  9. These are all the BT sites I am a member of/search for Wilco and related shows on: Bit Torrent - sites bt.etree.org Dime A Dozen.org Hunger City.org Pure Live Gigs.com Tape City.org The Trader's Den.org Zomb Torrents.com
  10. These threads may help you out: Bob Dylan Bio's/Books, help me! A link to a "rock book" thread.
  11. It's mainly there or bt.etree.org these days. Sometimes a new show pops up at The Trader's Den - but mostly it's the other two places.
  12. No, it's gone. You can find links to Wilco shows on various BT sites in this section: Via Chicago > Greatest Lost Track of All Time > In a Future Age
  13. There are multiple sources for these shows up at The Owl and Bear and bt.etree.org:
  14. Heavy Competition deleted scenes Broke deleted scenes
  15. I have not seen the film, does anyone mention anything about the Interstate System, and how the growth of big box stores and fast food places around the exits have also made it easy for people to not have to go into town to get anything? Or something like that. This is nothing new, it has been going on for years. I have seen many pre-Civil War buildings and houses torn down, to make way for new crappy apartment buildings, it's a sad deal.
  16. I found that on another message board a while back. Like I said, the sound quality is rough, but the playing is great.
  17. I have the Peel show. I am listening to it right now. It's a bit rough, sound wise, but the power is there. The more I think about it, the reason that new Paranoid sounds the way it does, is due to the 5.1 mix. I sort of forgot about that when I was listening to it. You can get it here (the Peel show, that is.)
  18. It's sounds different. You can hear Ozzy's vocal clear as bell in Planet Caravan now. I won't be buying this - as it is an import, and therefore costs a lot, and also, the bonus tracks are a joke. They have given us some of the songs without the vocals, Ozzy making his way through an early Paranoid and Planet Caravan (different words), and a re-mix of Rat Salad. I think it's due to the re-release being a SACD 5.1. I've never heard one of those until now. Paranoid (CD / Audio DVD) [iMPORT] [HYBRID SACD] [DELUXE EDITION] They should give us this sort of thing:
  19. I was just reading about that in the Taper's book. I've never heard it.
  20. I have not seen what you are looking for anywhere. I believe most legit bit torrent sites frown on webcast rips. I have looked up information about webcast rips at Dime a Dozen - you can find it in their FAQ or Help section. The way we get them around here is by way of someone recording the show, and then passing the show on to us. To be honest, I feel sort of weird about snagging those shows. I figure if they wanted us to really have them, they would offer them up in a format that could be downloaded. Is the AUD source not good enough? Below is the information on the Rochester sho
  21. It just didn't grab me. It sounds nice, but it seems to be a bit polished. I also got the 2 disc War Pigs re-release. It almost sounds like it was re-mixed, and/or it is just near the edge of falling into the loudness wars category.
  22. This is a nice site: Encyclopaedia Metallum I heard the The Devil You Know the other day. I don't think I will be buying it. My first thought was it sounded like Maiden and a Dio solo album mixed together. Others may like it, It just did not move me. They will never top Heaven and Hell anyhow.
