  1. I was just reading about that in the Taper's book. I've never heard it.
  2. I have not seen what you are looking for anywhere. I believe most legit bit torrent sites frown on webcast rips. I have looked up information about webcast rips at Dime a Dozen - you can find it in their FAQ or Help section. The way we get them around here is by way of someone recording the show, and then passing the show on to us. To be honest, I feel sort of weird about snagging those shows. I figure if they wanted us to really have them, they would offer them up in a format that could be downloaded. Is the AUD source not good enough? Below is the information on the Rochester sho
  3. It just didn't grab me. It sounds nice, but it seems to be a bit polished. I also got the 2 disc War Pigs re-release. It almost sounds like it was re-mixed, and/or it is just near the edge of falling into the loudness wars category.
  4. This is a nice site: Encyclopaedia Metallum I heard the The Devil You Know the other day. I don't think I will be buying it. My first thought was it sounded like Maiden and a Dio solo album mixed together. Others may like it, It just did not move me. They will never top Heaven and Hell anyhow.
  5. For One Night Illegally - The History of the Bootleg
  6. I figured. I think they are going to be playing less and less shows as time passes.
  7. I wonder what Dwight's new responsibilities will be.
  8. Let me be your traveling pants.
  9. The chase scene in tonight's episode was great.
  10. The Marvel Super Heroes I recall watching these in the 70s: The Marvel Super Heroes (Some dude has almost all of them up at Youtube)
  11. I have noticed that Dark UFO is not putting up as many as they use to. I was thinking there was another site out there - that must be it.
  12. I just checked these places: Hubbub April 15th Hubbub April 16th Flickr - Wilco - Most Recent
  13. I have zero experience with buying tickets online. I should have said that somewhere. So, I just posted what I found by clicking on links. I figured you would be changing this thread eventually.
  14. Although I've never heard the songs, I know he did do some work with Jim Lauderdale.
  15. Of course, if you get on a train and it's starts talking to you, and goes by the name of Blaine, you probably don't want to get on it.
  16. Exactly. It gets worse every year. We no longer have Greyhound bus service here, and no Amtrak service for that matter. It's either drive, or catch a ride from the airport to Pittsburgh. And I am not even sure they are offering a flight to Pittsburgh anymore. When I go to NY, I ride a city ran bus to the airport in Pittsburgh. It has worked pretty good - so far.
  17. There must a glitch somewhere.
  18. It may have went to your Spam folder. I have found that (I use Yahoo) they like to do that from time to time.
  19. I've received some emails asking me about the ticket deal. I found the following information, and decided to post it in this thread. If the information is correct, Gogo can do as she pleases with the information. Music Today.com PLEASE NOTE: Wilco pre-sales are no longer available through this ticketing page but through Frontgate Tickets. Click here to access tickets. Frontgate Tickets Log-in/Sign-up The following is from the Help section, which can be found in the upper left corner of the page:
  20. I saw that. I am quite content with AUD sources. I guess a lot of people still think the only way they are going to get a good show is by buying a soundboard source, or grabbing a webcast rip. I can understand if we are talking about people with Radio Shack tape players recording shows, but that is no longer the case, of course. But on other side, anything a band and it's fans can do to cut out people selling live shows, I'm all for it. Which is why I don't mind a band selling their live shows, at least it's legit.
  21. I think Al Gore had some ideas about this back in the day. I wish we had such a thing - not so much the Amtrak model, but more like what the Japanese have. I was just talking with someone the other night about this sort of thing. We were also discussing how it would be good if the trolley was still running here where I live. We have 28,000 extra people with cars, and streets that were never made for cars to park on and/or drive around on. It is also somewhat difficult to get in and out of here - unless you have a car, and don't mind spending hours on the Interstate.
