  1. That's it. I still have some of those disks.
  2. I think my second computer had that on it. My first computer was pre-Windows, if I recall correctly.
  3. Since it was mentioned - I'll post this again: Definitely Maybe Here's a track for anyone who wants it: Loving You Is Sweeter Than Ever Jeff Beck Group - November 1, 1967 Top Gear, BBC Maida Vale 4, London, England. The sound is not exactly perfect, but it has groove and soul for miles. Ok - good to go now.
  4. I think that was what I first learned - or was it pre-windows? I forget.
  5. I wouldn't think any of those bands are worthy - except for Def Leppard (who I hate) - due to the fact that they have sold millions and millions of records. It's interesting - I still think the people should vote, and not guys in suits and/or so-called music critics.
  6. Jeff Beck's music may not be someone's cup of tea, but he is one of the best guitar players of all time. He has said himself more than once, that his material, particularly in the early days, was lacking. But I still think those first two albums are two of the best rock/blues guitar albums ever made. I guess we are all on different trips. I try to stay away from making negative comments these days. But - I don't much care for the idea of sticking Jethro Tull, Rush, and Yes in with Kansas, Journey, etc. I suppose it comes down to criteria - influence, musicianship, innovation, longevity,
  7. Maybe you need to do some research: Truth
  8. I think Metallica should be in there - but there are many other metal bands that should have been in there ahead of them - Judas Priest and Iron Maiden - for example.
  9. Some more news - from Jambands.com:
  10. There was also a movie - Traveller (1997).
  11. I thought of that because I saw a National Geographic - or a Smithsonian magazine once which had a big spread about them. As I recall, they were covered in gold jewelry. I am surprised they don't have an OG.
  12. We did that too. The Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars now a days are junk - compared to what we had.
  13. It's going for a lot of money. I have some toys from back in the day - I could never sell them though.
  14. Multi-media presentation from National Geographic.
  15. The best Uncle Tupelo website there is: Factory Belt Maybe that dude can help you out.
  16. It's pretty awesome. It would be cool to know the technical details. I have Vs. on cassette.
  17. I was looking at this a while back - I had one: This is the Fisher Price Little People Parking Garage and Service Center from the early 1970's (#930).
  18. It's still Vs. aka Five Against One, aka self titled, Vitalogy, and No Code for me. I've said this before - but, whoever got the drum sound together on In My Tree should be given a medal. It's always sounds to me like the room is shaking.
  19. Right - I was going to say - it's not only "jambands" - some once popular acts are now doing this.
  20. I had this one: 1973 - Set No. 8243 - VertiBird Rescue Ship. A website about Vertbirds.
  21. Another article - from Billboard.com:
  22. I don't think he is doing anything that any other overly talented rock stars have not already done. I just think now a days, due to the internet, his own blogging, our celebrity obsessed culture, etc., these things appear to be more immediate. We get the news everyday - first through him, then Ryan Adams Archive, then Pitchfork, then Billboard, etc. I mean - Brain Wilson spent many years hiding from mind gangsters, getting messed up on dope, making music, not making music, etc. - but there was no internet then where you could read about it everyday - you had to wait until an article popped
