I have read them all - but I only own the first one so far - they are very expensive to buy these days. It was not until I read the second volume that I learned the story behind the Betty Boards. I don't think I have seen the book you mentioned. The other Dead books I have are: Living With The Dead, Home Before Daylight, (both mostly not so great) and the pretty cool Gans' book, Playing In The Band. I happened to catch Frontline last night - and in the episode they talked about how Chicago is the "black people capitol" - due to the fact that Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, and Jeremiah Wright and their followers/organizations are all headquartered in Chicago.

In the Taper's book I have - the first volume, (which ends in 1974) there are some entries for various sessions and they are all marked as unreleased. I think.

We talked about that around here somewhere once. Even if one disregards the first Rush album, Neil came along in August 1974 (I think that is the date), and so, they have been at it since then without a change. Also - U2.

I have thought of this question from time to time - and thought of it again last night when I was reading about Mickey's unreleased solo album. What did he do to earn a living when he left the band? I don't recall reading anything about that anywhere.
