  1. That makes me think of Nels falling over his amp.
  2. You would know it you did. He probably would have pushed out into the traffic in front of the theater. At least, that is what he did to me when I met him.
  3. He may have been on dope - I saw some photos in that other thread of some older gals who looked like they were on dope - the way they were spinning around or something.
  4. I should have started a new thread for each sentence in the article. Sorry.
  5. That's true. You like both kinds of music - country and western.
  6. I don't see how the late great Laura Nyro would be considered a guilty pleasure. I mean - isn't a guilty pleasure what people mean when they are ashamed of something because some group of people decided it was not cool? I listen to what I listen to - I don't give a shit what anyone thinks of my musical choices. I began listening to her probably 10 years ago. I think we actually had a thread about her sometime within the last couple of years.
  7. Well, I was at one of the shows that was taped for the Kicking Television live cd - and there was no taping, cameras, etc. allowed for that run of shows. I think the deal with Pearl Jam is that they are putting out soundboard shows - and still allowing taping. They seem to do things a bit different. The same with The Allman Brothers, The Black Crowes, Ratdog, etc. I don't really see the need for a bunch of officially multi-track recorded live cds/dvds. I mean, do they (Wilco) really play the songs all that different from the albums from tour to tour? That is one of the ways I judge a l
  8. I find it hard to believe that they would have allowed tapers to tape if they were recording the shows in order to put them out as product.
  9. I can dig it - but they would be edited - if the band released them. The way it is now, you get the whole deal.
  10. This is a great phantasy thread and all but - I'd grab the shows while they are still being seeded, if you want to hear them.
  11. Sell, Sell, Sell and White Ladder is very different from the early stuff - he was just a dude playing a acoustic guitar and singing in the beginning.
  12. I can see that - it just seems like he wants to keep it small. He still travels around in a van - or was, anyhow. I have never got to see Son Volt, but I did see Jay and Mark Spencer a few years back.
  13. There are others - such as, The International Submarine Band, and some lesser known bands that I can't think of at the moment. Also - we've had this discussion before - but the Jayhawks were doing this in 1985, and also, there was the cowpunk movement.
  14. Although - if they had some sort of sign about it - then I suppose one takes thier chances.
  15. I don't recall him saying they were going to do UT songs, and if they were, I wish they dude would bust out Fatal Wound.
  16. That's harsh - if you parked far away in particular.
  17. You should pm Father Calexico and ask him.
  18. That's Louie B - for those who do not know.
  19. I have A New Day At Midnight, never heard the last one.
  20. I'd like one of the old hippie clapping in the balcony.
