I bought an issue of ND this morning - first time I have been able to grab it at a store for years. There is an ad for this album on the back cover - I wonder why she went with an old Annie Leibowitz photo? I think that photo was taken several years ago.

I think the Blondie induction almost did - when Frank and the other dude were begging Debbie to let them play.
-
They are pissed at him becasue he got tired of sitting around and went to play with Sammy.
-
I think they will - just seems to be on hold.
-
Good point - I am curious to what his mother thinks about that deal.

So far, I have just got the first one. A lot of work went into those books I would say. Funny how the one I am reading is already dated though - all the references to cassette trading. edit - the other two are in - so I know what I will be reading tonight I hope to own them at some point.

I like Kiss, Dressed To Kill, Hotter Than Hell, KISS ALIVE 1, and maybe Rock and Roll Over. After that, I guess it would be Creatures of The Night and Music From The Elder. I am not all that crazy about Destroyer, Love Gun, or Alive II - although there are some songs I like on those albums. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kiss_discography#Discography The last Kiss album I bought was Asylum in 1985.

I am partial to the riff in Parasite. I see your point. You probably know this - but he is a cleaned up christian dude now.

For me, it's really the other way around. I think the image overcame the music - I mean, that's cool what they did - but for me - there has to be some good songs in there somewhere. Same with Alice Cooper - Killers is pretty cool, Flush the Fashion, is not.

That's funny - cause in the Kissology dvd - you can see that his drumming is not that great. or did you mean to say that you like to sing I Can't Stop The Rain in the shower?
-
That is good to know - I am still learning about dvd stuff.
-
If you compare those albums to what came after - those albums are really good.
-
My guess is that Eddie has to get cleaned up again
-
So you are a friend of Jay's I take it.
-
aha Did you film that stuff? Ever consider putting it up on a Bittorrent site?
-
Well, when the show became bigger than the songs - they lost me. Creatures of The Night and Music From The Elder are great later period albums though.
-
Do you own all of this on VHS? Did you digitize it yourself?

Try listening to them in WAV or FLAC, Cal. I got the Sunshine Daydream movie yesterday. -

I suppose I was speaking of some of my bad habits there. Funny thing - I was in HS in the early 80s and I own hardly any music from that time - it just never spoke to me. There are some exceptions - U2 being one I can think of. -

Everyone has their cross to bear - I was surprised the first time I heard them even mentioned on here - to me they were some new wave haircut band one hit wonder deal. I think I have learned over the years everyone likes what they like and that is the way it is. I use to spend a lot time running down bands that others would champion. I don't really feel a need to do that anymore. At some point, I hope to be able to refrain when someone runs down some band I am into. I mean, I could talk about the feelings I get from listening to The Grateful Dead - say Eyes of The World for instance, and -
The flyer is on page 2 of the No Depression re-issue. I have the original cds - but I bought the re-issues when they came out. The sound is very good.

Did the town tear the building down? Did they not live around the Stag Brewery? Louie B went in search of these things a few year ago. There is a flyer with your band's name on it in one of the re-issues or the anthology - I forget which. But - you already knew that, of course.

It will be out soon enough -

I gave up on him a few albums ago - I can not stand his voice anymore.
