I just noticed the other one was getting up there. I read somewhere today that Youtube is also streaming the upcoming shows. Speaking of books - I gave away my reprint of the The GD Family Album the other day. I could hardly read the thing - even with glasses on. I hope to get a first edition by way of Ebay or somewhere. I would say I wonder why they shrunk the reprint. But I suppose it has to do with money.

I would be surprised if the band did anything with those (Beggar's Banquet/Let it Bleed) as they are owned by ABKCO.

The title makes me think of Airships and Steampunk.

New Iron Maiden album - September 4th: I am curious to hear the 18 minute track.
-
Supposedly - Paul and Jimmy made a pact to not play any Bad Company or LZ songs. Robert would not play any LZ songs either (in the beginning, anyhow). When I saw him in the fall of 1990 he was playing a few LZ songs.

Swan Song became Midnight Moonlight I don't think I actually ever heard the 2nd album. I am basing my views on the 1st album.

If you want a good laugh - check out Coverdale's new Deep Purple covers album. I meant Paul Rogers - of course.
-
I always watch that or Eastbound and Down every time we have a free HBO weekend.
-
I didn't know that. That first Robert Plant album is pretty cool though.

One of the greatest singers of all times and one of the greatest guitar players of all times - but lacking in the song department. I am sure you can listen to all of it on Youtube.

I noticed a new channel on my line-up last night. It is called LAFF. I guess they have a thing for mid-90s sitcoms. I watched Ellen, Grace Under Fire, and The Drew Carry show. I don't think I have seen any of those since they were on back in the day.

Love of Music Declining With Age?
Analogman replied to Vacant Horizon's topic in Someone Else's Song
Go to Amazon.com and get The Bee Gees "The Studio Albums 1967-1968" and "Odessa - 3 CD Deluxe Edition". That will straighten you out. -
I'd say unless it is warped or melted - you are alright. This is interesting:

I got my copy of Betty's Blends Volume 2 in the mail yesterday. So far the sound is pretty good.
-
That sounds about right. I am buying it for the 2nd disc myself.
-
I ordered the new one from Amazon (which is where I got the Exile re-issue). That seems to be the way it goes these days. I hope the sound is better than what they came up with on the Exile re-master. Walmart may have it. That is where I found all the recent Zeppelin re-masters.

I don't recall where I learned that - maybe David Crosby's first book. I bought a few rock books recently - I've Always Kept a Unicorn (a book about Sandy Denny) All The Rage (Ian McLagan - I should have ordered that book from him when he was still around to sign it) Rock Encyclopedia (Lillian Roxon)
-
For 5 bonus points you can name who Peter Fonda and Dennis were thinking of then they were creating the Easy Rider guys.
-
Thank you.

I picked up the re-masters I didn't have the other day. Boy/October/War/Under A Blood Red Sky. I got them for a good price - except for War - which I paid too much for - 50 bucks.

I thought it was alright. I guess you would call it a gritty police story. There are several stories going on along side the main story.
-
I just read that book a week or so ago.
-
There are stacks of those out there. But - some have not been let loose. You can read a lot about that whole deal in those taper's books. I believe one person was asking a million bucks.

July 31st (I am surprised they are doing all three at the same time)
