The album version is actually two different takes, one calm, one freakout, mixed together. That is what they are doing on stage. I'm pretty sure the live version is as close to the album version as you are going to get.

As I'm sure most of you know Wilco has teamed up with Patagonia and Head Count to get people to vote this up coming election. At the same time I have seen Jeff pick up his guitar early and I don't see a capo on 3 like you would for Capitol City. Hm....?

I think it is awesome. Wilco doesn't seem like a band that will change there tapping policy seeing as they are all guys who have listened to and enjoyed tapes from live shows. But now we have the option to buy a guaranteed high quality version of live shows... why not?

This has been my rainy day project for a little while now. It still needs a lot of work. There are really no GREAT videos. The best one is from the Ashes of American Flags DVD, which is what this whole tab is based off of (and my untrustworthy ears). I figured I'd post what I'm 90% sure about and see what people had to correct/add to the tab (hint: solos). I was scared to work on this originally because I only have an acoustic guitar and wasn't sure if this was a song that could be play well acoustically. No problem. What a great song, huh? Sounds (to me) great on acoustic as well as electric. Just played it the other day at my first paying gig!

Wilco recorded demos of that song for Yankee Hotel Foxtrot that are still around titled under "Not For the Season" but they were never released under that title obviously. I'm sure that's where the name comes from originally.

They played that in the shrinking tour. Noise fade into art of almost would be pretty epic I think.
