OK So there are two Sunken Treasures??
Andrew McKean replied to IRememberDBoon's topic in Just A Fan
There are also two version of Spiders (Kidsmoke). The album version but now the band seems to play a Jeff Tweedy solo arrangement just as/more often. -
Wilco — 12/18/11, Chicago, IL (Lincoln Hall)
Andrew McKean replied to bböp's topic in After The Show
The fact that I got to see this show has taken weeks to set in. It's crazy, me, five hundred other people, one of my favorite comedians, my favorite band, all in their smallest venue since 2002... You can't describe something like that to someone. The show was only highlighted by the fact that my dad somehow got VIP tickets as an early Christmas present. Which not only involved me watching Fred Armisen right next to John, Pat and Glen but meeting Jeff and John before the show in the green room. (When asked by Jeff if there were any songs I would like to hear I said 'Um... All of them.' Oh well -
He talks about a second city benefit. Is there a recording of that? This is awesome, it's like the conversation with Jeff Tweedy I've never had but always wanted to.

This is the biggest piece of shit ever. I only listened to The Whole Love out of all the albums nominated but thats because everyone else sucks and WILCO is the best. Am I close minded? Yes. Do I care? No. Wilco deserves the grammy. End of story. Im petitioning for a redo! WHO IS WITH ME!

Thats awesome! I'm sure I'll be spending a lot of time on there. Should there be another category for wilco songs arranged differently for solo acoustic, like Spiders (Kidsmoke)?

I have had an idea floating around in my head for a while. What if collectively we went through album by album picking the tabs of songs (or multiple versions for solo acoustic etc) and converged all the tabs into a folder. Then someone could post the folder online and you could download the complete collection or just select songs. The hard part would be picking the best tabs or tabbing out things for the first time. I don't know. Just an idea.

Here is what I got for the Standing O tab. My source was one of the videos on youtube. There are the three main chords shifts and then the chorus chords plus the intro and thats all that Jeff plays. During Nel's solo he just plays E and then quickly will shoot up for a Dm (at the 'duh duh.' If that makes any sense, if not it's on the video.) As always any and all corrections are welcome!!! Enjoy! P.S. The spacing is all wrong but it should make sense pretty quickly. Standing O Capo on 3 (all chords relative to capo) Intro - A G# E x3 A C#m A C#m How can you tell A C#m A C#m

Has anyone tabbed out the fingerpicking part in the St. Louis Magazine Video (at 2:09 here: http://stereogum.com/786622/wilco-dawned-on-me-live-video/news/) After three hours staring at it, I have a little bit figured out but honestly have no idea what he is doing. Some help would be awesome!

One Sunday Morning (Vinyl Version aka definitve version)
Andrew McKean replied to rhino4evr's topic in Just A Fan
Man I wish I could hear this version. I bought the LP but due to a lack of a record player have yet to listen to it. It has just been sitting there screaming "Play me! Play me!" Does anyone know of a link to download this "definitive" version? -

So I posted a couple days ago asking for this tab... well.... Somehow I figured it out. This is based off the video of Jeff playing live at the Philly Folk Fest and at Farm Aid 25 (both can be found on the YOUTUBE.COM) In order to get a lot of the rhythms you have to listen to it but after a couple listen throughs its decipherable. Also I'm pretty sure he does some things in Riff 3 that I have not included here (obviously if someone wants to figure them out that would be awesome.) For the most part I feel like this is pretty complete but then again I could be totally wrong, any and all recomme

Does anyone know the tab/chords to the Wherever off Anodyne? Haven't been able to find them anywhere (though that may be due to my lack of internet searching skills.)

Does anyone have the sheet music to Hummingbird and/or Jesus etc? Any and all help would be awesome!

What a awesome show, great venue, great setlist (finally got to hear 'Ill fight') and the band, as always, rocked. One of my favorite things was just to watch the band interact and really have a good time on stage. I also loved the almost solo-show seeming Sunken Treasure as the opening. Great songs in the encore, and a wonderful variety of old and new. Jeff, as always, was on top of comical game in-between songs. One of my favorite things was where the show was. Being 16 and not able to drive I had to wait for a ride from my dad who was able to leave work early, and we ended up leaving at

I personally think they are super cool. They add a extra cherry on top whenever they are worn. I just get a kick outta 'em.

Ok, who makes Jeffs awesome suit (I hope you all know which one I'm talking about.)

It was excellent, I got to support my old school, see some old friends, and listen to the man himself, two nights in a row. Very very happy!
