  1. I had enough of this Live Nation/Ticketbastard on line bullshit. I'm second in line at the Orpheum box office.
  2. Nor was it so hard to pull presale tix for the Wang show, their last in Boston. I got a pair first row behind the pit.
  3. Just saw on FB today is the 42nd birthday of Wake of the Flood. Wowza, time flies. Funny thing about that album when it was released it was sort of a disappointment to me and a lot of the GD world, coming after Europe '72. Today, it's one of my favorite studio albums, and I can be heard saying side 2 is my favorite single side of any GD studio release.
  4. I'm not embarrassed to admit I always liked When Push Comes to Shove. As someone else noted, a good bounce to that tune.
  5. Perhaps the answer for Boston is multiple nights. Heaven forbid they end up playing the Garden.
  6. I can't even get onto the Live Nation site from the Wilco link
  7. nothing in the pre-sale. nothing nothing nothing Do they sell at the box office tomorrow? If so, I'll see you there.
  8. I agree. It's the old trade off between being up front for the visuals of really seeing the band playing and the interactions, but you definitely give up somewhat on the sound, particularly the vocals which don't come off the stage but only the PA hung in the air on either side. That sonic sweet spot is always several rows back in the center. Your wife has a good point!
  9. Hearing the opening to Victim was always a buzzkill, even if the song did get goods towards the middle or end. Hearing the opening chords to Foolish was always pure joy. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. I got that password a couple days ago in an email from Live Nation. I must have Wilco set up as a "favorite" on my Live Nation account.
  11. Lucero was friggin great! I was right up front for most of the show. The most enthusiastic crowd I can remember being in for a long time. The entire crowd at the Royale knew and sang along to every single song. I can't figure out how these guys flew under my radar all these years. Caught them at the Sinclair last year when buddy dragged me and I had never heard of them. I'm loving this band, and particularly the new album. Not to say the Warren show wasn't also excellent, but Lucero....
  12. Great! Psyched to go. Orpheum pre-sale is officially sold out.
  13. But remember, it was only the pre -sale. Typical for bands to have small allotments for their own presale. Try for the real on-sale.
  14. Only single balcony was available for the Orpheum. I had to pass on that. Will try for the real on-sale and hope for a better result. Will be driving to Portland.
  15. By the time I was able to get in, couldn't get 2 together in Boston. I grabbed a single GA for Portland (the entire show is GA, is that usual for the State Theater?)
  16. same here. Meanwhile Wilco just sent a second tweet with a new link to the Events page which still is not working.
  17. they did, with a link to another page that also doesn't work
  18. This is looking grim. It's only the pre-sale, I'll have another shot.
  19. anyone having trouble getting onto the Wilcoworld web site this morning?
  20. Remember everybody, there's usually a limited number of tickets available for any pre-sale, especially for a band pre-sale.
  21. I get it now, all you have to do is have your email registered with Wilcoworld.net, then under the Shows tab, the pre-sale button will appear next to each show when the pre-sale starts.
