  1. I've been doing the NPR stream, sounds good, but can't wait to get this disc or vinyl going on the home system this weekend. Have you given us your verdict yet? Inquiring minds need to know!
  2. Looks like you, or someone else named Paul, clarified that in the FB comments and I Got You was in fact played.

  4. IWTYH came out during the years I was off the Dead bus. My own days between. When I first heard it, thought I was listening to a Michael McDonald song. That is not a good thing. I also missed the years of Day Job. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. Always felt Days Between would have grown into a monster Garcia second set tune, along the lines of Dew. It was pretty much close to there for me anyway, saw a couple of killer versions, must have been Boston and Albany. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Is there someone who likes Long Long Long Long Way to Go Home? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Yes, indeed they did play, to quite the review: http://ottawacitizen.com/entertainment/local-arts/wilco-lucinda-williams-bring-cityfolk-to-ripping-close?__lsa=418c-be96 "Literate, instinctive embroiderer of multiple ideas from popular music into a unique sound, and making few musical missteps over the course of its life, Wilco remains one of the finest bands on the tour circuit."
  8. Did Wilco play yesterday in Toronto? Don't see anything in "After the Show." Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Why does Weir make me nervous? Well, falling over on stage is one reason. Losing his place, cutting in on jams, forgetting lyrics, slowing things down. To be clear, I'm a huge Weir fan over the course of the GD's career, but at this point I expect him to be more of a hindrance to the music than an asset. He proved me wrong at Lockn' with Billy. 10. Has anyone watched the Billy & the Kids with Weir set? That was the biggest surprise set to me, given how nervous Weir usually makes me these days. I watched the pro shot video, and it was as good as I thought it was at the time. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. I was there, but it all melts into one and I cannot offer any particular insight into that version of Dew. I am not a Chris Robinson fan in general, so not surprised nothing from that set stands out in my mind. Even though I am a big Krasno fan. I guess the one takeaway is I didn't notice or recall a butchering of the Dew.
  12. I will be listening to this having never heard any of the TS versions. So I'm all ears for Ryan.
  13. Nice! File under planning to "Live! Tonight!", but won't be able to make it: Heartless Bastards.
  14. Pat for me. My shoulder hurts already just thinking about those windmill moves. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Back to MSG for the New Year's run: http://www.relix.com/news/detail/phish_confirms_return_to_madison_square_garden_for_new_years_eve
  16. Not GD sets, but these 2 sets were my favorites from Lockn' 2015: The Jefferson Airplane tribute put together by Jack and Jorma: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5m4vzWmDuKg&feature=youtu.be And acoustic Hot Tuna's set the next afternoon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQlhsTfyQko&feature=youtu.be
  17. Listening to Being There from start to finish is the next thing you should do in your life.
  18. Today's Wilco HQ email refers to the Austin shows as "the grand finale of the year.". Those are words I did not want to read.
  19. Following up on my previous post, the thing with Lockn' is the 2 stages, Oak and Ridge, are side by side. So while one band is playing the next band is getting setup on the other stage. Because of the Thursday rainout, Billy and the Kids got moved to Saturday, with Weir, in the slot just before Phil. So while Billy, Weir and Mickey were in stage making GD music together on the Oak stage, Phil was on the Ridge stage in the dark getting set for his show. He was out there for pretty much the entire Billy show, fiddling with his rig and getting ready. The maybe 50 feet that separated them in
  20. Came back from Lockn', where I heard lots of GD music and saw all 4 of them in different configurations. The music was all great. If forced to say which if the GD related sets i liked best, guess would go with the Saturday Phil show, with Warren and Carlos. Perhaps the biggest surprise was how great the Billy and the Kids set with Weir turned out to be. Surprise because Weir makes me nervous that he's going to completely blow it anytime he steps on stage. But this set, with Tom Hamilton on lead guitar and Mickey sitting un for the last part, was excellent. I'll have to look at the setlis
  21. Been listening to this album for almost 20 years now, and it still blows me away each time. A landmark recording for me. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. Strike Thursday off the list, they just cancelled the entire day due to severe storm that blew through today. Oh well. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
