Back to the Orpheum in Boston. Much better than the Wang. Not an "Evening With" show, so pretty much guarantees the March 2010 show at the Orpheum will remain in my top 5 shows of all time. Very psyched for this, easy walk over from my office. May have to make a run on the Portland show as well. One is not enough.

I hear you. What I listened to and watched of the Chicago shows seemed mostly terrible, yet everyone I spoke with who was there thought they were great. I find them unlistenable. Weir is more often than not a train wreck. The exception to that was the Billy & the Kids set with Weir at Lockn'. I was so nervous for Weir, just waiting for him to fuck everything up on a moment's notice, but he didn't. Anyhow, my GD listening so far today has been Dave's Pick Vol 11, Kansas 1972, and JRAD from the Brooklyn Bowl earlier in October. You want current GD music? Go see JRAD.

Happy to see Los Lobos on the list. Is this first time for them?

Yeah, "google", I've heard some folks refer to that! It was an interesting 60 minute musical performance piece. Not sure we "got" the story line, but we listened to the music, and was cool the way the performers and musicians and dancers were dispersed in and among the audience, which was seated all around the performance floor in a very small venue. Cool lighting effects. And, we got there early so we were able to grab 2 seats on one of the floor aisles, so there were many times I would only have been closer to Courtney if I had thrown my arms around her and hugged her.

I guess I'm not surprised anymore. These releases sell quickly, and this show is a known monster. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Still sort of in shock Wilco ended the 2015 touring year by October 1. Was hoping for some late fall Cap Theater and New England dates. Oh well. Still hoping for those shows in winter/early spring, with another new album since Tweedy said they've got the material.
