  1. Loved listening to that, thanks for posting. Really interesting to hear Jeff talk about the creative process, and to hear the individual tracks isolated. And of course, Nels the effects master!
  2. Here's some sweetness to take the bad taste out of your mouths from FTW. Boston, 12-1-73 UJB>PITB https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2yq42yAQr2g
  3. Had my son with me at the Friday show at the Paradise. He's back in Denver now, and was so impressed he's going to catch the Denver Fillmore show.

  5. I'm going to the JRAD show on Friday, with a bunch of friends and my son. Let's connect and say Hi. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Hey Shug, loved the Friday show at the Orpheum. Outstanding! I'm not as familiar with MMJ as other bands, and as many of you, but I thought they were awesome. Saw them once before at Harborlights, and thought the show was just OK, but I always attributed that to the particular venue. Everything is always better in the Orpheum. I know many folks write about MMJ being one of the best bands to see (and my son and his buddies saw them in Boston on NYE a few years ago and still rave about that), now I get why.
  7. Meanwhile, after the discussion about not spending time listening to post-Jerry GD music, I've found myself the last few days listening to the JRAD shows from Brooklyn Bowl last month. Recording quality is excellent and the music is superb.
  8. Thanks. I watched this video on their web site. This sounds great. Not at all what I expected. I often skip the opener, but we're going to make sure we're inside for these guys. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLng8vLpqxY
  9. Looks like I'm in the minority here. Despite all the other music I own (physical media and a 160gb iPod, I usually listen to lots of Wilco, especially when in the car or commuting on the train. Several hours of Wilco per week. Although my Wilco vinyl collection gets lots of turntable time at home. It's really the inverse for me, I go through periods where Wilco falls off my radar, but those periods are few. Most of the time I'm listening to live Wilco. I'll do things like listen to an entire run. Right now I'm listening to last year's Winterlude run in order, I'm on night 4. This is th
  10. That's a pretty specific number. If this were a GD topic, I would say you have a favorite version of Dark Star you listen to 1x/month. But I know its you and I know that's not possible! 21 minutes of Wilco though. I was thinking a favorite version of electric Spiders, but I don't think any exist 21 minutes long. So I'm guessing an album side. One album side/month?
  11. Hardly ever listen to any post-Jerry GD music. Occasionally a Q show, and I'll listen to audio or YouTube videos before and after seeing one of the bands. I follow the JRAD YouTube channel so I'll watch those pro shot videos on the home theater. But when I'm going to pick out audio to listen to, what's the point of listening to any of it other than the authentic GD?
  12. Exactly my take when listening to the Sirius broadcast and the webcast of the final show. Musically, D&C sounded much better to my ears.
  13. Seeing MMJ at the Orpheum tomorrow. Have there been opening bands on this tour? The Orpheum site doesn't identify anyone else playing on the bill.
  14. Damn, I didn't know they were playing. Never seen them, but I saw Rachel Price at Lockn' with Jack and Jorma in the Airplane set. An amazing voice, really incredible singer. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. JRAD, definitely. I say that with such certainty, having never seen DSO. I have lots of friends who love 'em, and always encourage me to go, but something about the replication of GD shows always creeped me out. I don't even know if they still do that. Funny, I think Russo is an awesome drummer. He and Glenn are definitely my top 2 favorite rock drummers. I love the way they both play.
  16. So, if D&C, DSO and JRAD were playing your town on the same night, who would you go see? I was going to include Phil in that quiz, but at least for me it depends on who's in his band on any given night, so I left him out. Of those 3, I know how I would answer.
  17. Yes, just moved there last month. He and his girlfriend are 25. We were out to visit mid-October. Had only been to CO to ski, so loved being there in nice weather. We didn't want to leave. My goal is to now finally get to a show at Red Rocks. Starting today we are all celebrating wife's birthday in Austin. Landed this morning, never been.
  18. Good move Mrs. Lammy! I know JRAD's coming to Denver, encouraging my son and girlfriend to go. Have you seen them? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. The Boston Globe weighs in. http://www.bostonglobe.com/arts/2015/11/11/new-dead-dawns-with-good-company-worcester/wBsrNaMnwQf3GEIxgdoXlO/story.html?s_campaign=8315
  20. Whether its worth $100 or some other $xx amount is a personal choice. I can't recommend you spend it, or not. I spent a little over $100 for a good seat in the lodge once I decided I wanted to go. But that's me, once I decide I want to go spending $125 for a single seat (I would think longer if this was a show my wife wanted to go to) isn't an issue. Also blew almost half a day of work to get out to Worcester in time. But bottom line for me is I had a great time (despite the sluggish mid-tempo of every first set song) and would go again if they were playing tonight. I think this is an exc
