Hey, no problem, my pleasure. Glad you found it and are digging it. Man, i think it's awesome (I've said that once or twice before around these parts ) A couple of years ago I upgraded some of my home stereo equipment and got a new CD player that has a HDCD decoder built in. Whoa, those GD releases always sounded good, but with a real HDCD decoder they just open up so much more.

Damn, so I think you must have been right in my perimeter for both Saturday and Sunday! I'll have to wear a name tag next SS. Glad you weren't the one who spilled beer on my backpack. But I'm not complaining-its a music festival, shit happens. No matter what I'll do the rest of the summer (and I'll spend some quality time on the outer Cape), SS will be my favorite weekend of the summer. Always is.

My non-Wilco related high and low of SS '15: High: Real Estate Low: Jessica Williams in the comedy cabaret. Love her on The Daily Show, I was really looking forward to her show. Big disappointment. She performed with another comedian who I did not know, they drove up from Brooklyn that morning, and had obviously done little or no preparation. Just basically got up on stage and riffed. Very few laughs. Not impressive. She would have been much better solo. And I missed some great music for this.

Jeff said at SS '13 they would always do it at SS, so was kind of expecting it after California Stars. But no complaints here. That was a great Sunday.

I know it's not 1974 anymore: news flash for you: pot is basically legal now. (I don't think that line's working in your favor). Reminds me of a Wilco show I listen to from Troutdale, OR (where as of today pot is legal- definitely not 1974 anymore). Must be an outdoor show, and at one point Tweedy starts bantering about the amount of pot being smoked. He's hilarious. "No wonder you want us to play more, you're all so high". Don't think it's an apt comparison to compare the growth of SS to the Touchheads of the GD scene in the late '80's and 90's. To me this is more the result of organic growth of a great festival. Word got out and people came. Sure, the first SS was a lot more chill at 3500, but the promoters lost money so that wasn't sustainable. I also had a bad Friday experience, but that was mostly due to the exuberance of a hard core female Wilco fan who thought it was appropriate to sing every song as loud as she could. Surprised to read complaints about people smoking pot. News flash: you were at a concert. An outdoor concert. People like to get high and listen to music. Especially outdoors. Must be because I come from a GD and Phish background, but I find it more newsworthy to go to a show where people are not smoking pot. I always assumed it comes with the territory. Damn, I was waiting for a Spiders all weekend! After it didn't appear for the two Wilco shows, I was hoping for a Tweedy solo acoustic version. Oh well, I've got nooooooooooo complaints.

Lots of flubs in Summer Teeth, which I particularly noticed since I banged the request box pretty hard for that one!

Just a few comments. I used the "burrito" only as a point of reference. Friday night, there was no line shorter than 45-60 minutes for any food, other than the bratwurst vendor (I don't know why, I love bratwurst!). Just so happened my wife chose to get a burrito, but would have been the same regardless. I appreciate the suggestions about outside the venue, but these food lines were unlike years past. On Saturday afternoon, my wife went to get some rain gear from the car and there was a food vendor truck parked right outside, running a fundraising operation for Shriner's Hospital, there w

Yes, the beer selection was great, particularly the Summerteeth, and there was never a hassle getting a beer. The food was a complete shitshow though. My wife got on site Friday around 7:30, was hungry and missed seeing all of Real Estate (other than what she could hear in the food court) waiting in line for food. And that never changed over the weekend, until after Tweedy ended yesterday and I could get a burrito without waiting in a line! So next time if they're going to sell 9,000 tickets, need to improve the food game. Other than that, had a blast. Especially liked getting my book autog

SS '15 did not disappoint. Each Wilco/Tweedy show was top notch. I came away very impressed with Real Estate, would see them anytime. Only negative note was the constant long lines for food. More people this year, but waiting an hour to get a burrito is not cool. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I will also comment about the sound. At each SS I am simply amazed how crystal clear the sound is. In the open air, subject to wind and all the elements. For every Joe's Field set I've been in the sweet spot about 20 feet in front of the board. Always perfect sound.

Heading home now. Agree with all the comments. Jeff promised they would "bring the rock." Made good on that and then some. There must be a separate topic for today's finale, wow, what a way to finish.
