  1. haha, totally. has your daughter caught on to webkinz yet? we need a wilco-Kinz. or a tweedy-Kinz. i'm telling you, i'm onto something here. but the cereal box stage sounds fun too.
  2. i can't find anything on umbrellas at the chastain. mostly just snooty reviews from uppercrust citizens that bring vintage wine and imported cheese to see their favorite performers. it must not rain on season pass holders, i figure. damn us, lowly wilco goers. damn us.
  3. HAHA. funny, cause i used to think it was "our loves all i've got, honey" followed by "our love's all i've got, money" like he was talking to eddie money. then i just looked up the lyrics. that sticker is pretty darn cool. might look good on the element. if vdubs are coolest, can my car at least be kewl? like a second cousin, twice removed, only related by marriage? say yes and i'll buy the sticker. (i really want a vw) my first car was a rabbit, i think i'm grandfathered in on any subsequent purchases, vw or otherwise.
  4. option 2 for me, please. rawr. dammit. dammit. dammit. so we're all wearing white tees, right? THE FIRST EVER WILCO WET TEE CON-CERT/TEST
  5. dammit, i'm slow to everything. but how come they all have ridiculous beards? how much? really wishin this would have been part of my fathers day gift to my man. i'd want them to come with an internet virtual playground, of course, you know- like webkinz. and i could make them sing and dance and perform shows, design their studio, fix their hair and their beards to my liking. i'd make jeff run in place during the entire "hummingbird" and all kinds of stuff.
  6. You lucky dog! I even tried to win them from way down here in Gulf Coast, AL...we called randomly a couple of times. hhaha. just to see. Anyway, that's awesome. I remember Felini's quite well from my many ATL trips pre-kids. I had forgot about them. Thanks for the suggestion. That may be where we head after all. I'm just having nightmares about the parking situation. I think I'm paranoid. Our car got broken into at the Fox when we drove up for AGIB tour a couple of years ago...but I understand that this is in a much better area and that it might not happen again. Parenthood makes you neurot
  7. hey, awatt, where would you suggest we go pre-show...kid friendly? you're local, i suspect?. anything close enough to walk to besides the horseradish place?
  8. aww, shucks. that's a damn cute baby. congrats. and on fathers day no less.
  9. noooooooooo, boo to thunder storms, dammit. packin' the ponchos.
  10. I don't know if this is true, but everything I've read and been told indicates as much: I was told that there was a (possibly too posh for us, but maybe fine for you) restaurant in walking distance to the chastain. I'll have to google the name again. It was unusual, um...(thinking) maybe something to do with radishes or horseradishes. The Horseradish or some such name. Anyway, I heard that valet might even let you dine and drink there and leave your car there to walk to the show. Perhaps someone local will pipe in and clarify. They did say you would need reservations...and well, we're simply
  11. Impossible Germany for me as of this split second. always subject to change without notice. Not sure how my husband would vote.
  12. Right, that's my problem, I haven't been able to find it at the usual locations...
  13. i would love to hear it too, if anyone is feeling generous!!
  14. hmm. i saw this today, followed by a cnn interview of the frail little white girl that's actually the singer. i don't think much of it. i'm not on obama's team, still holding out for gore to step in, i guess. but if i did think much of it, it's pretty shameful. i am no al sharpton or anything, but it's degrading to our black presidential hopeful somehow. i am normally not so touchy feely, i guess...but when i found out scrawny, rich white kids did it using a "ethnic booty dancer" i was like "pfft". i don't know. perhaps i'm being too sensitive. i mean, when clinton played sax on the night ti
  15. cause you would have beat them down if they had tried to take your camera or cause little old ladies don't know what this new digital technology even looks like? (now we know what this fight was all about two nights ago.)
  16. same here for my daughter and her friend. both age 9. my daughter is a fan, the friend...i don't know what her parents listen to at home, i think they are of the STAIND/CREED variety or somesuch stuff. haha. so hopefully, she'll thank me for this experience later. i saw dylan while i was pregnant w/ my daughter...now i'm seeing wilco while i'm preggers w/ this one. i like to start em real young. say hi if you see us!!
  17. are you bringing the kids in the photo as well? my girls are gonna fall in love at the wilco show. haha. my family will be there, me (knocked up) with husband and two kids. say hi if you see us. i'd love to meet people as well.
  18. it doesn't say. i figure i'm stuck in the middle (with you). i'm just M 10-13 is all it indicates in the orchestra.
  19. when rythm and brews (are they still a small venue on market street attached to big river brewery?) first opened i saw cracker there (um, this may have been 8 years ago or more) and it was a pretty good show. then i saw them at dennys the next morning eating breakfast. actually, it was camper van beethoven and they ended up rocking out cracker songs or it may have been the other way around. (i only wish i had the 60s to blame for my dimentia) either way, they put on a good show. ahhhhhhhhhhh riverbend. hahaha. i actually miss it's lackluster perfomance schedule. thanks to RB, I have seen c
  20. that is misleading. i look a whole inch closer (which equates to what i figure is a lot of rows) on the 2X4 size seating chart with "live nation" set up. (what does "live nation" mean anyway?) well, that's good to know. thanks for the info. would it also be true that i'll be right in the middle section since my seats are subsequent?
  21. awesome, we're heading up from the Gulf Coast of Daphne, AL (near Biloxi, Mobile, Pensacola, etc.) What part of Mississippi are you driving from?
  22. i am embarrassed to admit that i'd actually prefer the live nation set up, since it appears (from the not so detailed seating chart) that i'd be considerably closer (row M, seats 10-13, orchestra) if it was picnic style and not rock style. i just want to see something is all. but i'll live. SO EXCITED!!
  23. i just looked down and i'm wearing that shirt right now. i concur. awesome design.
  24. Hi All! Second show in ATL for us, first time at the Chastain. I hope parking is better than reviews I've read. Curious if this is table/non table set up. Conflicting info online. Anyone know? Orchestra Row M, seats 10-13. We'll have our kids with us, if we get there a little early is it nice to walk around the grassy areas and whatnot? maybe have a bite beforehand? Thoughts? SO FREAKIN' EXCITED.
