I took my 10 year old daughter to the Tweedy Iowa City show this past March. We were right near the "Mayor of Cedar Rapids" incident and she got a real kick out of it.

Seems as though it was only singles? Odd... -
I really liked So Many Roads. There weren't too many exceptional versions due to jerry's health. It is a great song to play on accoustic as well...

The distinction is between "venue" presales and "frontgate" presales. The frontgate presales have yielded fantastic seasts for me on this tour, but the Madison "overture center preale," for example, seemed to only have the back rows of each section - just seconds after presale started...

You stated, "So called "venue" presales, for example. The bar for admission to these presales is really low, and they are designed to create hype around ticket sales and scare fans into buying often pretty shitty seats while better ones are held for the general onsale (get some fans to buy the 2nd balcony now while they think tickets are going fast, then it will be easier to sell "mid level" or average tickets later), or, worse yet, for random ticket drops, a big drop the day of the show, or for other sleazier purposes." That was precisely my experience today for the Madison "overture center

Need 2 tickets for ryman night 1 (october 1, 2011)...
-
Ryman virtually gone for both nights now...glad i got ticks in the presale...wanted two more for either night but no go...
-
hmmmm....beginning to think venues use the "presale" to get rid of crappy tickets...
-
Doing madison presale through overture right now and the available tickets all are way back in the highest level balcony...odd....
-
so Madison 10/5/11 "overture center presale" states - 4 ticket limit per household. Do the two tickets my wife got in the Wednesday "frontgate presale" count against the "overture center presale"? - In other words, am I limited to being able to only get 2 tickets in the presale today?

whew... got 4 for Ryman Night 2 Section 1 Row H got 4 for madison section CC center very lucky...
