It's looking more and more like the Saints truly are a team of destiny, if you believe in that sort of thing. I was more concerned with the Eagles than the Bears. The Saints just have a more complete team than the Bears, IMO. How sweet would it be to ruin the hometown boy's chance at his first Super Bowl?

I'd say she's worth starting a new "RSGF" thread. She was quite the topic of conversation for the rest of the day. I think Dax was getting a little pissed at the guys in the crowd who kept yelling "More Drummer!" Can't really blame either one of them, I guess.

This band was my most pleasant surprise at ACL fest this weekend. I enjoyed every song they played. And the brunette on keys was dreamy.

I'll be seeing him this Saturday at The Parish in Austin. It's a very small venue. I can't freakin wait.

I would add "I'll Be Your Bird" and "O'Brien's Nocturne" to that list.

It really shouldn't be as hot this year. Highs have been 88-92 lately. Looks about the same for the weekend. They are also having more shade and misting areas to cool off. And they have had the sprinklers running throughout the park most of the summer to avoid the dust issues they had last year. Should be a fantastic weekend.

I'll be there. We also have tickets for Sufjan Friday night. I'm debating whether or not to sell those tickets and just stay at the fest. Sufjan comes on about 9:00, so we would miss about 3 hours of the fest. Although I'm not very interested in seeing Van Morrison, and I've never seen Sufjan. Just thought I would get that off my chest.

I don't understand why people are down on Transistor Radio. I absolutely love it. And I'm a huge fan of all his music. Fuel For Fire and I'll Be Your Bird never cease to give me goosebumps.

I've been listening to it all morning, and it really is beautiful. I too had my doubts before hearing it (I was one of those people that found her voice a little annoying on Milk-Eyed). But these songs really work well.

I actually like it a lot. And I think Trouble was a bit overrated. His new songs are more complex, more interesting to me. And his voice sounds as good as ever.

The Paramount in Austin is freakin awesome. I'm pretty psyched about this. I'll definitely catch one of the two nights.
