  1. Great band. I'm glad they are in Austin now. I like all of their records, but I think The Mountain is the best.
  2. Without the spandex belly or the entire performance?
  3. Surprised no one has mentioned MIA nearly giving birth on stage. She was about as pregnant as pregnant gets. And she really needs to lose the ugly big ass sunglasses. She has a lovely face. She should show it.
  4. I wouldn't necessarily say this. It looks very well rounded to me.
  5. I think Mother Uckers is still my favorite.
  6. He lives here in S. Austin. Not sure how long he has been here.
  7. 2-28-03 is greatness. It has fantastic "flow". There are about 5 minutes of that Tweezer (something like 16:00-21:00) that contains some mind melting music.
  8. Pinetop and I are neighbors, actually. He lives a few houses down on my street. He's truly amazing.
  9. She has used the stand her entire career. She is terrible at remembering lyrics. And I know this sounds superficial, but she is really looking bad. I know she's getting old and everything, but the eyeshadow has got to go. Oh, and Doug Pettibone is a bad ass.
  10. I think it comes down to the old "Defense wins Championships" line of thought. OU has a more potent offense, but Florida has a much better defense, which gives the slight edge to Florida, IMO.
  11. Surprised no one has mentioned Arcade Fire's Funeral yet. I have always had a thing for a band's first record. There is usually a nervous, crackling energy that is impossible to recreate down the road. The White Stripes debut deserves mention as well. IMO.
  12. The Felice Brothers are the main reason I'm going to see these guys in Austin tommorow night. I love that band. Sounds like I will enjoy Conor's band as well.
  13. The first CD, top to bottom, is just unbelievable. The other 2 CDs are kind of hit or miss for me.
  14. I agree. She just seems to be trying to extend her vocals a little more than she ought to. Rabbit Fur Coat has a certain sweetness to it that I really like. It's a very underrated record, IMO. Oh, and Dear Science kicks ass.
  15. Need to search You Tube for that Fire On the Bayou.
  16. That "Backwards Down the Number Line" tune is pretty good actually.
  17. I went in to Waterloo Records yesterday to get this and they didn't have it. They weren't sold out of it, they just weren't carrying it. First time I've ever gone into that place where they didn't have what I was looking for.
  18. Going to see them at The Mohawk here in Austin Wednesday. $8 tickets. Can't beat that.
  19. I'm going to go ahead and beg for a PM.
  20. 1. Bringing It All Back Home 2. Highway 61 Revisited 3. Freewheelin' 4. Blonde On Blonde 5. Blood On The Tracks If he only recorded these 5 records, he would still be the best.
