i liked it better than the last two, but it still only had a couple of decent tracks. i had high hopes after hearing 'stronger'...but i don't think i'll end up listening to the album too much, if at all.

man, i've watched handful from both seasons on sci-fi...but haven't been able to get my shit together to catch them all. like what i've seen so far though.

agreed...while he comes close to capturing that look and feel of horror movies from that era, i just don't think you can recapture that type of magic w/out a time machine. the cameos were like a who's who of b-movie cinema...just awesome. hey, did you ever check out the el superbeato comic of his they're doing the animated version of? i posted about the cartoon in my blog, but not i want to check out the actual dilly.

I figured it would get shitty reviews...if you don't watch it in proper frame of mind and w/ the right expectations. I had a blast.

The whole theatre was in silence after the first 10 minutes. The 'origin' piece in the front half of the film is what makes it, but Rob's take on the actual night from the first film was good too. It had holes, but the Zombie aestethic had the perfect level of creepiness to make it worth the admission.

as i've been waiting for a proper rock/guitar album from REM for a while, i was hesitatnt to believe it was actually forthcoming. then I watched the videos of said Dublin warm-up shows and i beacme excited about an REM record for the first time in close to 10 years:
