  1. your crazy ass calling me a nerd is like shooting spitwads at a tank.
  2. i have yet to hear one lick of this album.
  3. interesting. well, you know how dependable I am as far as getting out of the house for things...but I may check into this. pm when you're going. maybe we can go as destro and cobra commander. that would be rockingly gay.
  4. Are you going to that? Still tickets avail? I've never been and have always wanted to check it out.
  5. Mixmaster Mike is insanely fun live...highly reccomend.
  6. i have some on ebay. look me up.
  7. then, you truly are an evil heathen
  8. something like that happening during a hummer could never be considered funny. for shame, madame.
  9. Fell asleep in the middle (because it was too late, not that it was too boring), so watching the rest of Not too shabby, but some of the documentary spots between performances are wayyyy too long. However, the music so far from Kanye, Dead Prez, Blackstar, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu is absolutely stellar...I haven't even gotten to The Roots feat. Big Daddy Kane & Kool G Rap and/or The Fugees yet. 'Attention Huxtables...there's a block party this Saturday just around the corner...tell Rudy!'
  10. These cells were originally intended to create a child via implanting them into a woman...that's what IVF is. There's nothing moral or religious about their original purpose...why they came about. If a couple made a specific request they be used for science, fine. It dissapoints me, but that's their right. You also know that, as the 'parent' or 'owner' of said cell mass...you can personally ask it be destroyed? Your thoughts on that? If abortion is okay, is this okay too? Women's right to choose and it's just a cell mass, right? All I can say is, when the time comes that your future wife bec
  11. Absolutely, Mr. H. Dude, please ignore, respond, whatever to the following... You took a stance that anybody who thinks that said cells that were originally created w/ the intent of creating a new life first be given the opportunity to go on and do so and then be used for research should adoption not be viable as selfish (outweighing the few or whatever)...so you called me selfish. Without directly saying it, you also seem to think that couples who go to ART to create a family are doing something wrong (overpopulated earth, couples should adopt)...so you're saying I did something wrong. If t
  12. yeah, pretty much digging that cut chemist disc from start to finish and have been listening to it non-stop.
  13. and don't forget the impeccable customer service and shopping experience. no matter what I say about the busines apsects of this, buying tunes online could never be as pleasant of an experience as the browsing, looking at the album/CD artwork and potential conversation w/ cool record store clerks about music. hopefully, there are enough people out there who want that to keep good ones open...at least until after my kids get past an age where that stuff is cool.
  14. No insult taken and knowing what I do now...I completely agree! The fact that the cells in said bill are not able to be adopted makes the whole thing of bringing them onstage ridiculous and utter exploitation. I had enver heard of the SnowFlake program and diodn't ge the reference...thank you for posting up again anyhow.
  15. I've done so privately, but again say publicly how sorry I am to hear this and my prayers are with you and your family, Katherine.
  16. Who called you a baby hater and/or told you your opinion was wrong? Plus, I don't have to wait until someone I love completely and utterly and deeply and with every fiber of my being gets sick. It's happened to both me and my wife before and my guess, it will happen again. It's horrible and I don't wish that on anybody. My point was that the whole 'may or may not' thing goes both ways...you used it to state these cells may or may not ever amount to an actual birth, I used it to state these cells may or may not save somebody's life. My hope is that they could do both...i'm no more an enemy of
  17. at the expense of my job? not amazing, but stupid and I need to get some things done. I will say, that after all of this, I really can't wait to get home to hold my kids.
  18. Mr. Eyeball, I thank you for infusing my obviously emotion-charged rhetoric clogging up this thread w/ much needed facts...whether they support what i'm saying or don't.
  19. As i'm clueless, was there federal funding pu towards ART methodologies like IVF? Just curious.
  20. See my response to Finna. I simply stated that the option for these cells to be used in ART be the first option and then medical research. If you have numbers to show me that there isn't enough to go around and that's putting the needs of the few over the needs of the many, i'll stand down. Then, if you want to get down to brass tacks, provide me w/ the same info Finna is working on how these cells are a clear cut cure that will save the millions of lives you keep referring to. 400,000 - 130 = 399,870. Seems like there's enough to go around and, considering the original intent of these 'c
  21. Actually, i'm asking for your opinion if the adult's life that may or may not be saved more important than the genetic material that may or may not become a child. Unless you have more defintive info than I do that this research is completely unfailable in providing a cure and, that said cures are completely unfailable. I respect your opinion, but want to make sure we're expressing them w/ all things considered. Hopefully, that's okay too.
  22. I appreciate that, D...but in no way would I want this discussion to be locked or censored. I'm perfectly fine and won't lose any sleep over this...it's anybody's right to post what they want, whether I find it offensive or not, but i'm going to post right back should I find it so and defend myself when I feel attacked. If it's in some way offending somebody else though, do whatever you have to.
