  1. I keep hearing a song from them on the radio called "Children of December." I like it. Does anyone know if their albums are worth getting? Or anything else about them?
  2. My kids always liked the Nora Jones CDs.
  3. I consider the More Like a Moon EP a real album even if I didn't have to pay for it. But I would have to agree they totally screwed up Panthers. Arranged properly that song had so much potential to be on a proper album.
  4. Also consider that they probably tracked around 30+ songs. There might be 4 or 5 great songs you have never heard before. I'm kind of hoping for that scenario.
  5. Pretty good. A lot better than I could do I'm sure. Keep practicing it and eventually your speed will improve and then you are there! Great job.
  6. Minivan outside mall stolen this weekend + ipod in minivan = who would steal a minivan? Our minivan was stolen outside of the mall this weekend. The thieves left a nearly identical minivan running in its place. How bizarre.
  7. I honestly can't believe the democrats are spending time on this during their first 100 hours. They are proving to me that they have no plans on fixing any of the pressing issues of today like illegal immigration and the war in Iraq.
  8. True, but if every manufacturer of computers insisted on their own proprietary hardware and internet protocols for transmitting data the WWW as we know it today would not exist. It would be much harder for computers to communicate. Republicans are made of the same parts and stick to the same protocols and thus are very powerful. More so than Democrats. Ideally, I for one agree with what you say above though. Holding principle above all else is the true path to doing right.
  9. Maybe not so underrated as much as under-known: Greg Brown
  10. As much as I love Orwell, in the link you provided it seems to me that Orwell was writing about his unwillingness to change. In 1946 the English language was certainly not in decline. It was then much like it is today - changing. The only difference now is that there are a whole bunch of other old people around today who say that English is declining.
  11. How come if this guy is the world's most talked about athlete this is the first time I've ever heard of him.
  12. I have an acquaintance named Acacia Sears who works at the Sun. You should look her up, she is into really good music and plays a lot of open mic nights around the city. Her voice is awesome. As far as Baltimore it's hard to say, if you want to live in the city near downtown I would suggest looking into Fells Point and Canton. That's were all of the partying goes on. You could also try Hampden. It's becoming much more hip and would take you about 20 minutes to get to the Sun paper with traffic in the morning. Also there is Mount Vernon. Definitely ultra hipster. It's known as the g
  13. What about "Drifters and Ghosts Riders Monthly?" I think if you sign up this month they send you new free emoticons to your cell phone.
  14. I saw them open up for Jimmy Page and Robert Plant like 10 years ago. They were good and very interesting but I'm not sure it would be worth a whole night.
  15. Where's the best album to start?
  16. I watched this again just to see Tweedy's awesome SG. I want that guitar Tweedy!
  17. Resolution post of the year! Funny stuff. You be going dumb.
  18. I agree with you here. Let's not pass laws to make points. Imagine if the draft did get enacted today and then 10 years from now another 9/11 happens... With a little textbook Rovian politics and a lapdog press we could be in another war before we know it. Also it was a mistake by Pelosi siding with Murtha. Did anyone see his interview with Chris Matthews? He is as crooked as the day is long. Edit: Here's the portion of the Nov 15th interview with Chris Matthews I mentioned above: MATTHEWS: Let
