My buddy lent me Summerteeth. I fell in love with after about 6 notes. My first show was 1999-11-17 - Recher Theatre, Towson, MD No setlist found on WilcoBase but I can tell you that they rocked. I was at that concert formally a huge Wilco fan. Jay Bennett played awesome and the band was wild. I think the Old 97's opened for them. I became a fan of theirs too that night.

Looks like some neat features. I will try it out.

Wow! I had to do a couple of double-takes.

So I got the automatic update the other day. It's awesome. There are a couple of differences and it has a built-in spell check!

I saw the first 1/2 hour or so on the online world premier. I thought that Tweedy's performance was ok but not stellar. But I thought the film was a disappointing over all. I still have to see the rest but it was kind of boring. I definitely wouldn't give it to a non-fan of Wilco/Tweedy and expect them to become a fan.

I think that woman singing in the video is a man.

Interesting philosophical question. My answer is that in reality to have someone's best interest at heart and govern properly you should probably have more than an understanding of them. You should probably be genuinely interested in their welfare and be empathetic of their situation. Probably that's why democracy has done more for people than any other system. -- For the most part, it is made up by the people and not autocratic executors will. "Properly" is arbitrary, but I would say to best govern in a humanitarian sense, yes, you should have some respect for the social group you wish t

Ha ha! I'm so stupid. I belong in Iraq! (a joke)

By the way. This will not hurt the democrats next Wednesday.

I think Kerry is just being taken out of context. And if what he said makes him an a-hole when then so be it. I'm going to tell my kids the same thing. The last thing I want is for my kids who are 2 and 3 years old to be killed Bush's war when the are young adults. And if something doesn't change and Bush and company has their way, my kids will be fighting this war years from now. F that.

I played pool the other night for the first time in about 5 years. I was never great but I just ran the table all night long. I think it was the beer and the Elvis Costello - This Year's Model on vinyl that did it. It was awesome hearing an album on vinyl again. -
Further proof that Wilco really is a red state band.

Panthers is a great song but the studio version was a big disaster. This is New is pretty cool. I doubt that either one in any form will show up on the next CD. They've been there and done that.

Yes he was and now is in Modest Mouse. He was helping them in the studio and planned to tour with them since MM's guitarist left the band. Then they just decided that it would be awesome if he was a full time member. I didn't get "Good news..." but I will definitely be getting this one.

Never really liked Clapton. Jimmy Page is the man. Johnny Marr gets honorable mention.
-
Yes. The show was awesome. They were like a well-oiled machine. I also enjoyed the opening act Melomane. They had some cool lyrics and a Belle and Sebastian-like sound.

In a last minute miracle I will be going to the show - for free!!!!!!!!!!! See you all there!
