  1. Do you mind if I was it down my tasty beverage? Worms in a shake
  2. I don't like that message board.
  3. I'm waiting for Snarks on a plane. Snarks are 1/2 snake 1/2 shark. According to the movie director, they attack passengers on mini hovercrafts.
  4. I don't feel sorry for him either. Because he is living the life. I know it sucks being poor but what it boils down to is that Thax answers to no one. Maybe if he stepped back and looked at his life and compared it to someone having lots of money working 60 hour weeks, he might just choose his life.
  5. Wasn't he in "We're no Angels" too with Sean Penn and Deniro? I like that movie.
  6. Yeah. When Jay played with Wilco it seemed like every show was one for the ages.
  7. Has anyone seen the movie Collateral with Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx? If so, do you remember the jazz bar they went to, and the jazz style they were playing there? That's the kind of jazz I want to hear. Any recommendations?
  8. You're right. I doubt it could ever happen, but there is something deep in my heart that only wishes for a reunion of Bennett/Wilco. I always like Ken but I would stick with Glenn.
  9. You know how sometimes you eat something like a steak sub and you keep belching all day and you don't really enjoy it? Well what if you could control your burps and choose when you want to burp? Introducing Twix Burp. The candy bar that makes you burp Twix flavored burps. Seriously, I have been telling everyone about this idea I have just to see their reaction. Most people think it's crazy. I just love to see the look on their face when I tell them.
  10. It's very interesting to hear someone my age (31) from Russia talk about WWII. As children, they were never taught that the US was involved in the war. As a child I was never taught that the majority of the war was fought between the USSR and Germany.
  11. I am not a gamer but I would consider playing golf, tennis or baseball at someone's house if they bought this system. Actually looks pretty neat.
  12. Does verizon only do midi tones? Or do the newer phones support MP3 ringtones?
  13. I grew up thinking that the US was far superior at war than every other country. I guess that was a naive child's thinking from watching tv and movies. But if you think about it, we're not that impressive: WWI: We were barely involved. WWII: We got in late, lost a lot of men, would have lost probably 500,000 more if we didn't drop the bomb. Korea: We didn't exactly clean up there. Vietnam: Huge mistake. (Of course I hear Vietnam is a great place for vacations now...) 1st Iraq war: We ended a 50 year policy of containment, didn't really gain anything, got our troops sick with chemi
  14. I have been really disappointed with the MP3s I been hearing. With that being said, the songs translated much better in a live environment. Especially "Walken" Great guitar riffs from Tweedy. That what I was kind of hoping for at Lollapalooza... Maybe to hear the songs in a different light. It was exciting to see them. Even though the lyrics still seemed kind of goofy. Or maybe that was because my buddy and I scored some of the best KB I've had in about 5 years... No, I think it was the lyrics.
  15. The "Mere exposure hypothesis" You're probably right. I think with any real change, it will be with a newcomer. Maybe one person or one movement. But it most likely will not be from within the ranks of the GOP or DNC.
  16. I'll be there! Cool thanks for the heads up! Next up, M. Ward. I have had such a good live music year.
  17. Agreed. That guy was as important to the band as the guitarist. He was awesome. They remind me of Led Zeppelin.
  18. The more I think about this, the more I realize that the Democrats STILL haven't gotten their act together. And if they don't watch out, they're not going to win by default like they think they will this November. They are still completely aimless.
  19. I enjoy them, but what's this about them having a new drummer? I would be weary.
  20. Lieberman basically stood for what a majority of politicians stand for: re-election and business as usual. He is probably still in shock. The re-incumancy rate is 98%. That means that an elected senator has a 98% chance of being re-elected once in office. It goes to show what a crappy job his people think he was doing. "but I think Joe had largely fallen out of step with his party and a change was due." Ultimately, if things work according to plan, it's not that he is out of step with his party, he'll won't be re-elected because he was out of step with the people he represents.
