Probably. With this, and the White house press office being closed for "renovations", Bush doesn't need any accountability. Heck, the Israel/Lebanon issue will be as forgotten as the Immigration bill. And if this doesn't work, there's always Cuba-US relations rhetoric to turn to.

Paul Wolfowitz? Is that you? What's up dog? How's the world bank going these days?

For some reason, all of a sudden I'm interested in MM. -

If you find that Ryan Adams, ask him if he knows where the Ryan Adams who played in Whiskeytown is.

I'm really ticked that I missed the Baltimore show. I simply forgot about it. I did see Grandaddy play once. To tell you the truth I wasn't blown away. I love the albums though.

I wish Truman were here. Of course I'm on page 540 of the book so I still have a lot to learn about him. But from what I know, we need someone like him to lead this country to greatness.

I will be staying downtown at the Hard Rock. Where is the best bar in that area? Any brewpubs that make their own beer? Where should I be drinking when not drinking at the concert?

That's what's up!

Aw man, I completely forgot that Jason Lytle was going to be in Baltimore 2 weeks ago!

Yuengling is a great standby beer. If you're out drinking and you go to a bar that only sells crap like Miller lite and stuff and they have Yuengling, then get Yuengling.

And for those who have read about the end of WWII, wages were artifically low because many unions and workers took concessions because everyone was 'doing their part' to fight the war. After the war there were huge strikes by organized labor to make up those lost earnings. Today's lowest paid segment has nobody to look out for them. The organized labor unions that remain are generally powerless and are in bed with the big companies. This of course brings it all back to my chronic complaint of the $5-a-day starbucks addiction this country has instead of an education addiction. The custome

New Ben Kweller Track - "Penny On The Train Track"
WilcoFan replied to brittboas's topic in Someone Else's Song
Ben Kweller is really good and a good live act. I will be seeing him at Lollapalooza. -
Like we did in Iraq, Israel is training a whole new generation of innocent children to grow up and perpetuate the hate that the entire middle east region has for them.

who knew "tar baby" was an offensive term?
WilcoFan replied to anodyne's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Did anyone see Tony Snow say that he didn't want to hug the tar baby in his first week as White House Press Secretary? At the time it seemed derogatory but considering the definition above it probably is a saying that is probably a carry over from a long time ago that only really rich effete people in politics use. -
Not only does that 10% have money, they have power. If you think that redistributing their wealth is going to work you better think again. If they were forced to pay more taxes then they will just lay people off.

What's in your soy sauce?
WilcoFan replied to Duck-Billed Catechist's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Can someone post the article. I can't get to it for some reason. -
I think the dollar amount should be based on some economical study, not just pulled out of the air. I also think that the minimum wage has been raised before and the world didn't end, it can be done again. One last thing, if someone is trying to make a career on minimum wage, then they should go back to the drawing board.

The only thing about that is that we are standing by at letting this happen. Very much like the Germans stood by with their hands in the pockets as Hitler murdered millions of Jews. In the world's greatest democracy we don't have much of an excuse.

I heard Winona Ryder was there in the front row all drunk and stuff yelling for Tweedy. Eventually some guy came over and explained to her that Tweedy was not there and it was pretty obvious that he would not be participating in the tour. Then he politely asked her to leave. I'm kidding of course.

Arrested Development Syndicated on the web
WilcoFan replied to WITHIK's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
I still can't imagine sitting down at a computer to watch a television show. I'm old I guess. -
