Oh man, I wanted to be there. Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos.

I picked one up too ...for Slim.

I have a feeling there's going to be a tour after these 3 shows. There's so much positive energy happening around the band right now that I think it will happen....and that's not something I ever thought I'd say.

How was it?
It was so great. I'm so glad we made the long trek to get there. They sounded really good and everyone (band and crowd) were all really happy. They made a real effort to ROCK so the show had a lot of good energy. I really hope they do some more shows. It was really great to see them on stage again.

That was so much fun. I'm so glad we made the long trek to get there. It was worth it. They sounded great and looked like they were really happy as was the entire crowd.
...and I think I broke my toe...still worth it!

He's covering one of my favorite Slim songs, Ballad of the Opening Band

With Lucero on the other side, I'm tempted to get one. Auction begins Sept 15.
Ooh, thanks for posting. I'm tempted too!

if they miraculously go well

I week until Toronto!
Yes, I'm counting the days.

The best thing for that movie would be if he would just shut the hell up.

At Solid Sound this year I met Gorman Bechard, who made the film "Color Me Obsessed" about fans' and critics' remembrances about the Replacements.
I'm curious what he's like in person because I've seen him post on message boards, Facebook, Twitter, etc. and he comes across as a complete nut.

I'm starting to get really excited for this. We finally decided to go to the Toronto show which is coming up in two weeks!

My first time seeing Andrew Bird.

I've never been to a show where they closed with The Lonely 1, and I was amazed at how utterly rapt the audience became. We were clearly all mesmerized. A great, great show!
I was at a show in Spain where they closed with The Lonely 1 and I thought it was so amazing. I just love it. They take you on this fun and masterful musical ride all night long and then bring it down to this tender, beautiful song and then you walk off into the night in that mellow, thoughtful state of mind. It's perfection.
-
Yes, me too...sporadically. But it hasn't happened in the past few days.
-
I love it when they end with The Lonely 1

Garth joins them for Long Black Veil.
Damn, I hope someone taped it.
-
Kinda wishing I was going to this but opted out due to Wilco overload.
-
Wilco's set.
What's that last song? Tomorrow?
-
I know it's already been said, but I don't care: Cars Can't Escape! Wow!
Yeah, me too!

The crowds at these shows looks pretty thin...(and I don't mean waistlines)

Hi - I was across from you at dinner. I think the band/ management forgot about the on stage request aspect. After hearing nothing and more nothing from them leading up to the show, I sent an email about 4 hours before the gates opened:
"Hey [taking out name] We are on the way and are looking forward to the weekend. Quick question- do you have details on the following:"and a chance to pick a song live onstage for Wilco to perform during the band’s all-request set on the festival’s opening night."Do I get to make a request? If so, awesome, how does this go down?"Coincidentally (I think not), about 60 minutes later the 5 ticket holders received an email saying that names were put in a hat, Gillian won, it would take place Saturday (not Friday), and he (person from TM Management) would be working on a prize for us because we were so lucky. Prize ended up being swag from the merch booth which was nice....so short story long, that is why we didn't witness Wilco play Pieholden!Hey! That's you! It was really great meeting you at the dinner. We thought the whole thing was really nice especially the company of so many Wilco fans. We're still thinking of making a trip to Chicago for the Replacements show, so maybe we could meet for a drink if we have extra days.
Also, your request would have been great!
Rest in Peace, Levon
