  1. Oh yeah, the Snapple reference. I've never been a fan either. Same for sweet tea.
  2. It's frustrating, or, at least it was in college. I'm pretty sure you can only buy beer or wine on Sundays here, but not until after noon. And seeing liquor in grocery stores or convenience stores in other places around the country is always a shock.
  3. That certainly makes a little more sense. Although, I guess I would need to boycott every band I listen to for supporting Obama in last year's election. The whole boycotting thing seems pointless to me, though.
  4. So, then, this person should actively boycott every business owned by someone with those religious beliefs. Which I doubt is the case. I think the person is just annoyed that he or she can't get a sandwich on Sunday. Which is fine, I guess, but pretty silly. Especially since I'm pretty sure the official reason is to give the employees a day off to spend with family. Pretty nefarious.
  5. How is closing on Sunday a belief or something to be boycotted?
  6. Damn, that is crazy. Most locally-owned places around here are closed on Sundays.
  7. Chick-Fil-A is excellent. Always good, always consistent, and they have excellent iced tea. It's one of the very few fast food places that I trust for a good meal.
  8. Yeah, I thought it was funny, too.
  9. Speaking of Donaghy, has anyone seen the excerpts from his book that may or may not get published
  10. I agree somewhat on album art and album titles (although it still doesn't make or break an album for me). But I rarely look at song titles before listening. Plus, I put my trust in the artist as far as what he or she wants to title the song. Who am I to second guess?
  11. Not only do they not bother me, but it seems silly to even think about it. Does a song title make or break the quality of the song?
  12. There are few things more compelling in sports than a dominating pitching performance.
  13. Robert Downey, Jr. in Back to School Don't sleep on the Bengals. Stout defense, rejuvenated Cedric Benson, healthy Carson Palmer.
  14. Aside from New Orleans and Minnesota, I think the NFC is a jumbled mess. The Giants only have one decent win -- a last second field goal to beat Dallas. They got destroyed by the Saints and pretty much dominated by the Cardinals. I have the same reservations about the Eagles, which makes this weekend's game really interesting. I would probably put the Cardinals third. Especially as their defense and Beanie Wells keep getting better. Plus, they should win their next 5 games, which would put them at 9-2.
  15. I agree, Pot Kettle Black has definitely been a recent highlight.
  16. No it isn't. In fact, it was the one song that brought the Dallas show to a screeching halt.
  17. I really wish this would find its way down closer to me. Oh well. After listening to the entire Califone discography recently, I can say that this new one is definitely in the top two with Roots and Crowns. I still don't know which one I like more. But I guess it really doesn't matter.
  18. And it was f'in incredible the other night in Dallas
  19. I don't have a full list yet, but "Percussion Gun" by White Rabbits is definitely near the top.
  20. I've found that this is generally true of transplanted fans of any team. They ramp up the obnoxiousness to counter their minority status.
