You mean they didn't trot out an Eric Clapton lookalike? Shameful.

They weren't. They were in 2002.

Hands down, the funniest scene in the entire series.

I think Rio is only 1 hour ahead of the Eastern Time Zone. Would that make it easier to bring in more money for broadcast rights as opposed to somewhere else in the world?

Ed O'Neill is greatness on that show. I also liked The Middle, but I love Neil Flynn. However, I don't know that that show will ever be required viewing for me. We'll see where it goes from here. I didn't even bother with Hank.

So you're saying that beyond Wilco and a possible Olympic bid, Chicago has nothing. I can live with that.

Uncut: Top 150 Albums of the 21st Century

But it's not like the album is waving its arms around demanding to be copied. Or The Strokes for that matter. It seems odd to hold that against it. -
The whole clueless, trying-to-be-hip persona draws the comparisons. But it was more striking in the pilot. I thought he was great in this episode.

Not necessarily. He's a quarterback, not a running back. Kurt Warner was 28 in his first year with the Rams.

Sounds very cool. Hopefully I can make it out there soon. And I share your sentiments on Tony Romo.

You keep them separated from your other tickets, though, don't you?

So being a fugitive and "hiding out" in France while directing movies and winning Oscars is punishment. If I ever commit a crime, sign me up for that sentence.

I was looking through my ipod today and came to the realization that this has been a pretty incredible year for music. There have been tons of great releases, more than any recent year that I can think of, anyway. All of these bands have released albums this year that I wouldn't hesitate to call great: Animal Collective Bat For Lashes The Big Pink Califone Cymbals Eat Guitars Dan Deacon The Decemberists Dirty Projectors Eels Fever Ray The Fiery Furnaces Franz Ferdinand Girls Grizzly Bear Handsome Furs The Love Language Metric Micachu & the Shapes Neko Case The Pains of Being Pure at H

I'm pretty sure I have a new favorite band.

My daughter's favorite books of the moment.

Well, now that the Rangers have officially been eliminated from the postseason, I can say that this was one of the most enjoyable seasons in a long time. The amount of young players here and in the system have finally made Texas baseball exciting. Now if we can get this ownership problem settled.

Yay! My stereo set is in! Now I can listen to Abbey Road!

Unthought Known sounds like a lot like Love Boat Captain, too. And Supersonic reminds me of Mankind. I just don't think it's a very interesting album overall. Although, after listening to their 2000s output yesterday, it's still better than Riot Act.

I'm not a very big fan of this album, and Speed of Sound and Force of Nature are about as bad as it gets for Pearl Jam songs, IMO. Oh well. For me, Amongst the Waves and Got Some are the only worthwhile songs here.

That's definitely what wears me out the most about them.

What's their method?

Unless Oregon wins out, I see their strength of schedule and computer ranking dragging them out of the top two.

Glenn Beck is leading a movement? Nobody I know takes him seriously at all. In fact, most people think he's full of shit.
-
I expect more. This album just isn't that good, which is doubly disappointing considering how good Pearl Jam was. It's a step backwards.

No. None of those things are rights. Believing that they are is what gets the government in trouble.
